Valvoline DEX/MERC (ATF) Automatic Transmission Fluid 1 QT, Case of 6

I used this to replace the power steering fluid in my Toyota. What can I say? The power steering continues to function, and the vehicle hasn't gone up in flames. It works!

I used this in my TR6060 manual transmission on the recommendation of the TX Drivetrain guys. If you're looking to swap fluid to improve shifting in that transmission, this fluid isn't the one. Shifting was just as notchy as with whatever ATF GM put in it at the factory. I still gave this 5 stars because there's nothing wrong with the fluid, it just wasn't the magic formula I wishing for.

This is the correct fluid for my GM transmission. I saved a lot of money at Amazon. The Auto Zone sells the same stuff for $10 a quart.

My mechanic recommended this for 1986 Chevy long bed pickup truck.

The box was barely sufficient for shipping. It was handled so much, the box was like tissue. I'm very surprised that the container didn't burst open. At very least; it should have been marked as a fragile liquid. Good product great price when purchased in bulk.

Money well spent

I needed to flush my Power Steering system on a 2002 Toyota. At $15.91 delivered this fit the bill at a cost comparable to 10oz from the local auto parts store. BTW: If you get a squeal turning the wheel, long before the stops on a 1st gen Tacoma. There is a screen in the pump tank that can be removed (the tank) and back-flushed with something like contact/brake cleaner until you see a clean screen with a flashlight. Don't need new anything, but look up how to purge flush after fixing the clog. This probably applies to many other vehicles also!
