Dinesh opens the door to the Kapoor flat to find Lata, the enchantress who works at Mrs Aly Khan's, carrying a hot case with freshly made gaajar ka halwa. On the first floor, the inquisitive Mrs Mody wipes the dust off her precious binoculars to spy on the building's security guard. The Singhs open the doors of their SUV, their four boys creating a ruckus - they are the newcomers, the outsiders. Through the peephole, the ever-watchful Mrs Ranganekar observes their arrival. Welcome to Paradise Towers, an apartment building in central Mumbai. Everyone here has a story to tell. Or maybe they have stories to hide. Shweta Bachchan-Nanda's quirky, intimate debut explores the intertwined lives in this building - a forbidden romance, an elopement, the undercurrents of tension in corridor interactions and an explosive Diwali celebration. Bachchan-Nanda's is a dazzling voice that will draw you into the intoxicating, crazy world that is Paradise Towers.

Terrible!
I wish I hadn’t bought this book. A really bland story, where I don’t empathise with any character, bad writing and a plot that is not sure of what it wants to be. Just goes to show not everyone can write, but nepotism and a famous name can sure sell.

Huge Letdown
I started the book with much enthusiasm and expectations becuase the Author Shweta Nanda is an avid reader herself and comes from a very affluent family but it's a huge letdown. The book has so many characters and so much going on that becomes a little bit difficult to cope up with it.I am giving 1 🌟 for the marketing team who put up so much efforts on this book. The reason I purchased it because I liked Twinkle Khanna books and I can't help but compare her with Shweta but oh boy I was so wrong.Do give this review a 'Helpful Vote' if you liked this review.Happy Reading :)

A mishmas of different movies
What's really good about the book is the simplicity of language used.Besides that I don't think the book has anything great. It has way too many characters making it quite confusing to keep track of what was going on. The story lacks a strong story line. The author spent way too much time building up details of the building vs building up her characters. The first few chapters felt quite repetitive. It felt like the plot of 3 - 4 movies mished mashed together to create one book.

How the life looks across the beach in high towers
It’s a very basic book and lacks a story line and strong character to hold on too .Detailed and eye to detail of daily chores of living in premium building and it’s description of how well maintained the towers and how different people from different background, caste, religion stay together in gossips and utter silence together.Good easy verbiage used and at the end a great message the despite of diversities we all accept each other and learn to live in harmony and spread happiness

Paradise towers
Book review 7:..Paradise towers by Shweta bachchan-nanda...Foreword :This author being under constant public scrutiny for being from an illustrious lineage, there a curiousity to pick up this book..About the book: .This is the first book by shwetabachchan. It is about the going ons in an regular apartment complex, how neighbours interact , gossip, party or simply live. The protagonists are Mrs Aly khan, Mrs modi, Mrs ragnekar.. While some neighbors are veterans who spy on others, some just moved in and are flamboyant to throw a party, yet others are elusive and mysterious. Read to find how different characters unfold. ..Takeaway : for someone who has stayed in apartment complexes, this is completely relatable and evokes nostalgia. ..Rating :⭐⭐ average .

Paradise Towers- a sliver of life in Mumbai
An easy read , this book is a fun way to spend a free evening. The characters are lively and the incidents are engrossing. The language is simple and occasionally incorrect which is irritating. Being a Mumbaikar I perhaps found the book more entertaining than someone who doesn’t relate to life here.

Boring read!
I bought it as it was talked about sooo much but the flow of book is not good.i found myself bored while reading it.. It feels like writer just wrote because she wanted to write a book. It not interesting at all I did not enjoying reading it at all.

the book is like a medium tower
I expected more out of the book. You kind of keep waiting for some high points, some twists and turns, but somehow the writing and concept falls flat. Hope the next book by Shweta Bachchan Nanda will be more interesting.

Bland affair
Its like a cold thali. The author tries to please various genres. But lack proper characterization the community at paradise towers does not come alive. Though the author does show a potential. Better luck next time.

Boring. Cliched. Predictable.
The book's plot is so predictable that one cannot just develop any interest in the book. The characters and their behaviour too is very cliched and hence there is nothing novel that they have with them to offer. It's a boring, stereotypical, only-buy-for-the-name-of-the-author book, don't waste your money on buying it.

A simple story
A simple basic story with few twists and turns. Could have been more thrilling. A good try by Shweta. She should keep on writing to master the art.

Lifeless and boring
A very average read ! Boring and lifeless . It is a no brained that the book makes business sense for the publisher . The book revolves around the lives of the residents and thus its a very cliche story .I do not recommend this book !

Paradise Towers....A good entertaining effort
Well spun words with a story line. With a little more care could be turned into a sitcom....one star short b'coz a few descriptions could 've been synchronized....
