I wanted a kit to repair several different knife and tool holsters where the velcro has worn away. The kit did not come with any instruction in the box. The instructions online were confusing, but finally worked. I dont know why this product keeps mentioning pliers in the description, it did not come with any, instead you have to use a hammer to press the pieces together. The buttons are very small and would not work for thick clothing. The snap is not very strong, I'm not sure they would work to keep a tight fitting pair of jeans on. However, they worked great for repairing my tool cases and i'm sure they would work well for other light duty fixes.

Be sure to read the answer to the size questions "our button diameter is about 0.37inch-0.49inch, you can see picture 6 for more information.thanks ". That's 3/8" to 1/2". The only thing that is 1/2" is the the outer snap cover. The female and male portion of the snaps are all 3/8". The female hole on these are 3/16"" and the male stud is 1/8"".I bought these for a jacket cuff male snap that came off. It is 1/2" for the male snap and 7/8" for the outer snap cover. The female hole on mine is 1/4" and the male stud is 3/16".These must be for baby clothes.

I was going to use it for a jacket. Couldn't figure out how to use it because there were not instructions. Went for buttons on the jacket.

Make sure you look for dimensions.It work very good.
