pulchritudinous book for our daughter... Enjoyable for adults too. Some interesting words to learn!

I knew she would enjoy reading and using these unusual words.My granddaughter is 9 and didn't put the book down for the first hour.Is a good read for any child who likes a challenge and learning new words.Easy to pick up and read instead of screen time.

Our 8 year old son loves this book and has spent hours happily reading it to himself and then telling us his ‘new’ words. The illustrations are great and this is the second book from this author and illustrator he’s enjoyed. Wholeheartedly recommended

This dictionary of difficult words is particularly nice because it has pictures to illustrate many of the words. I have had a small stroke and some of the advice is to learn a new difficult word each day to help the brain make new neural pathways. This book is a delight and would make learning for anyone fun. Both of my 6-year-old children love this book. They select a word each day and present it to the classroom to see who knows the meaning. It has really improved their vocabulary in an interesting way. They will still be using this until much older, I'm sure.

I bought the book for myself because I am not a native speaker and struggle to learn new difficult words 'from a list'. The book brought back the joy of learning that I remember from my childhood.

Love this book and the illustrations are the cherry on the cake. A fun way to expand vocabulary for children (and adults!)
