Here in central Arizona we're have a record years for fox-tail weeds due to rains earlier this year. They get into dog's ears nose, etc. and can cause lots of grief for the dog, plus expensive vet bills to get them removed. We tried several homemade remedies, but this is the best solution we've found so far for keeping them out of our English pointer's ears. Fox-tails don't stick to the fabric, and the elastic is strong enough that our dog only occasionally shake it loose from her ears. If we let it fall too far forward so that it gets near her eyes she will try to take it off, but if we keep it pushed back by her ears she tolerates it. Makes our walks a lot more enjoyable and we haven't had any fox-tails make their way into her ears ever since.

We pay a lot for ear infections from her bathing to holding her head out the window in any weather as we drive. This keeps wind and weather out and doesn't slide off as other things that I have tried. Doesn't soak through material.
