I UNDERSTAND MATH!!!!
I will be honest I need to study all the way to Pre-calc for college to get into Vet Tech Program and I've always been horrible with math but this math book is a very good teacher. This book is boot camp for your brain filling it with knowledge. I'm learning Algebra 2 and Trigonometry with it. It has detailed explanations of each problem and how to solve it. I go on YouTube if I don't understand a problem on how to solve it. I'm still in college but studying a year a head of time so I will get "A" on all my exams. Its a great way to kill time and keeps you on your toes.

Great worked problems...would like to see the work on the chapter tests which are not included. Fairly broad syllabus but not all inclusive...few areUpdate 2019: The more I use this text, the more I like it. These authors are some of the best that Barron's use. They go to unusual lengths to include practice problems that really stretch your understanding of what initially looks like a basic problem. Also included are notes on common student mistakes which are invaluable! The useful calculator section is worth the money alone. I paid under $15 for this text which is a sad statement on what our society values. If you are looking to be a wiz in Alg II and be able to do any problem in any other so called school text book, get this text. Update 01/23...This continues to be my "go to" source for straight forward worked examples that I simply can not find in my 2 other Alg II texts. For instance, many syllabi do not address horizontal dilations of functions. Why? Cause they are sort of hard and considered more Calculus centered. This text includes them with graphs! They are indeed EZ! I continue to substitute teach and have given a few of the calculator tips out from this book, especially finding the two factors of Quadratic Equations. You would not believe the look of gratitude and amazement from students as a result. Also, I now see this as a textbook in at least one of the math classrooms I have been in.

Epic 😎
It’s honestly a really good book and I recommend it to anyone who sucks at math (like me). The explanations are really helpful but it’s the review questions that really helped me. I started the year off a bit rocky with a 69 and a 60 and after a few hours of studying with the book (AND carefully doing all the review questions), I took another test and got an 85. I’m really proud of myself and I’m really glad I have this book. Buy it.

Extremely Comprehensive, Flows Well
This book is extremely comprehensive, covering areas I never saw in high school or college. Easy is not the best description, rather Flows Well. Information is highly detailed, but flows well for the self-taught. The font size, diagrams, problems and answers, and page size are excellent. Although extremely detailed, I never got "stuck" where I couldn't figure something out. Be prepared for lots of studying with a pencil, calculator, graph paper and computer spreadsheet. But you will not need a graphing calculator. I learned from this book after being out of school for more that 30 years. If you're looking for that one book that can teach you Algebra 2 in extensive detail, this is that book.

Homeschool recommended
My daughter has been working her way through this since her teacher was dreadful! She learned so much more on her own

The explanations are good even for people who hate algebra
I really like how they approach their explanations. The main issue I have is twofold. First, the problems at the end of each chapter are far more difficult than the ones in the explanations (e.g. in chapter 5 one question requires the use of LOG to solve it algebraically rather than using brute force and LOG come way farther into the book). Second, the answers do not give all the steps used. Most of the time, I can get partway through the problem, but then need some help with the intermediate steps. I am fortunate to have married a physics teacher and so have my own coach, but for a book that claims to be EZ, it needs to simplify things. I hate it when I am told "It is obvious that..." If I can't understand it, it ain't obvious. I'm with Readis - I'm not sure I believe in negative numbers (even though I spent years as a bookkeeper).

Great service!
I bought this book to help myself out in algebra, it doesn't have ALL algebra 2 school curriculum in it, but it's pretty easy to understand. The shipping was quick and wrapped very carefully!
