Humes and Berg 3 Pcs Set Cork Trombone Straight and Cup (CORK2)

The cork on my old H&B trumpet mute was disintegrating. I looked on Amazon for replacements and found none, so I bought these trombone mute corks. They are thicker and longer than the trumpet corks, but a little work with the hobby knife fixed it. Glued them on with epoxy and then sanded them flat. Looks good, works good, I'm satisfied.

I recently picked up my trombone after a 40 year hiatus. I purchased (2) three piece sets to replace the dried out corks on my 40 year old Humes and Berg straight, and cup mutes. These were sized exactly as the original corks. A little work will a Xacto knife, a jeweler's file, and some Gorilla Glue and the mutes are as good as new.

They may requre filing to properly fit depending on the size of the bell.

These are the right size and work just fine. I wish they had glue on the back to peal and stick. I also would have liked some directions on how and where to place them on the mute.

A bit expensive, but perfect fit. Certainly better than purchasing a new mute!

Gets the job done and is great with the Hume& Berg cup mutes

these are quality corks. unfortunately I allowed the GORILLA GLUE to get on my fingers so I've been walking around for months with these stupid corks glued to my fingers!! have you ever tried masturbating with your weak hand?
