Therefore, your Plax will expire around 2024. This is what I found out on a Google search. **Q: Did they discontinue Plax ? The price is crazy now .** A: The crazy price is only on Amazon. They did not discontinue it, but I don't buy it when price gougers are holding it hostage. Amazon needs to stop these exorbitant prices. **Q: Does this remove existing plaque?** A: It softens recently developed plaque for easier removal when brushing. This is why you use it before brushing your teeth. It doesn’t help soften old plaque that has hardened into tartar **Q: Does plax hurt or loosen dental crowns?** A: I’ve used Plax for many years. It does not hurt and never loosened any of my crowns. After brushing, everything feels smoother, fresher, and like it actually worked better because of that first rinse.
