I had a bad first impression of the product based on my experience ...
I had a bad first impression of the product based on my experience with delivery and my first use of it. However, I have spent most of the day using it to review a fine print textbook. In my opinion, it's not so different from a traditional highlighter. It works very well and gets better with use. I highly recommend it.

Technology not yet there
I wanted this product to save me time collecting quotes from printed material. It does work, but the text recognition is not good enough to result in a real time saving. I can type about 40wpm, and it is quicker for me to just read and type my quotes than it is to use the scanner and then do the needed correction. It is a step on the way, but not enough of one to be really useful to me.
