A brilliant light that produces a good blast of IR illumination covering approximately a 25 feet plus forward area.I use the light outside - narrow cable fed through a double glazed window frame fitting - to illuminate the night time view for a Nest camera.It works well, has withstood the wet and windy weather so far and is fairly innocuous. The lights to glow red and although they are fairly dim this therefore isn't the best light if you want secrecy.

Very bright, well spread IR light. These big LEDs are far better than the small one's. The small LEDs illuminators, focus in a small area but they direct the light to long distance. These big ones are the opposite. Does the job to me. Recommended

not sure what else to add, i had one for about a year then bought another and a slightly smaller version. all work very nicely

Failed after 10 months

Quite literally a night and day difference using this.We have the standard Nestcam Outdoor at the back of our house and during the day it provides brilliant picture quality. When night rolls around however the distance of the built in IR LED’s just aren’t up to the job of reaching the bottom of the garden.Using the 12 LED unit I can’t even imagine what the larger model is capable of, but, they say a picture speaks a thousand words so please just take a look for yourself.Hopefully it’s up to the job and copes well outdoors. The power cable is fed through the shed so I don’t need to worry about it getting wet, so it’s all down to how good the unit is. I’ll be sure to report back if it fails for any reason.

I have two of these illuminators in use cover and quality, covering two cameras great job.
