Only Lower rating because it is small and tight fitting
My 15" laptop BARELY squeezes into laptop pocket. I would rate higher for quality, feel, etc. Not much room for STUFF in the remaining pockets, etc. However, it is a very nice bag!

Trendy bag with lots of space
I found this bag to be attractive and it's trendy. The messenger bag style is great for men or women. It holds a lot of books and my laptop when I go to a coffee shop to write, which is nice. Here's a little about my first impressions. What I like:- It has space for even my MacBook Pro (see the image). It fits into the laptop pocket perfectly.- The strap is adjustable, and it has a handle too.- It's real leather (looks like, feels like, smells like).- There are two zipper pockets, a large inside compartment, and a smaller slot for a laptop. What I Don't Like:- The laptop pocket is at the front of the bag where the zipper pocket is. If I have a bunch of things in the pocket, it is quite lumpy and my glasses and pens can press into the laptop inside.- The strap has no padding. When it's loaded up, the skinny strap is not kind to my shoulders.- It isn't easy to get the snaps aligned to close the front, something that is necessary if you're going to use the top handle.- The packaging lacked something in the way of presentation. It came in a plastic bag with he strap all smashed inside, not wrapped in some sort of protective material and accordion folded or anything. (See the images for how the strap was crunched). I think it could be presented in a more classy way! It felt like an imported knock-off, and maybe it is.- There is no pocket for keys on the outside anywhere. You have to open the flap and reach inside.- There is no padding for a laptop. And it wouldn't fit my laptop sleeve if I put that in the laptop compartment.- The strap twists easily and does not have swivels where it attaches.Overall, I'm giving it four stars because it's a nice bag. I just think that a few additional features, a decent strap, and nice packaging would class it up a lot!

Beautiful Distressed Leather; Ample Space
This bag has beautiful, supple, distressed leather, like an old flight jacket. (my favorite kind of leather.) It looks great. It has 4 separate compartments. Starting from the outside in, it has an outside pocket, then a zippered pocket, then the main compartment, and a zippered internal pocket. You can carry it via a shoulder strap or a carry handle like a briefcase.I must pass through security on a daily basis so I like having separate pockets where I can store all my belongings (wallet, keys, cell phone, work stuff etc.) and only have one item to keep track of as I pass through. This works well as an alternative to a briefcase. It smells wonderful and looks great. It is well made and will likely out live me. It's advertised as a college bag, but I have two kids in college and I can't imagine either carrying this instead of a backpack unless their classes all used digital books. Regardless, it is an excellent bag for a professional.

Attractive leather bag
This is a really nice leather bag. The leather is a rich brown/burgundy color, and is nicely distressed, so it has that slightly lived-in look. The buckles on the front are of good quality, and are nice and heavy. The capacity is decent. I can carry a laptop and books in my bag, so it's good to use for hauling stuff to and from school, when I'm teaching. The strap is a good thickness, which I also appreciate. I have found that the strap is usually the first thing to go in a bag like this. Thus far mine is holding out fine. My one complaint is that the laptop sleeve part is at the front of the bag. I am accustomed to the laptop compartment being in the back of a bag, and generally feel like my laptop is better protected when it is in the back. That's the one thing I'd change. Otherwise, this is an attractive and useful bag.

School, Work or play... it’s Perfect!
I’ve been looking for a vintage style bag like this for some time. A Terrific little bag... it’s 16 Inch hand crafted Retro-style Buffalo Hunter Leather Lap-top messenger bag that could double as an could Briefcase. Unisex design makes it great for men or woman. It’s wide enough to fit 15.6 Inch Laptop maximum. It’s Distressed Hunter buffalo leather is durable and canvas lining made from high end buffalo leathers Unisex vintage inspired design perfect for professionals, students. Even if you’re using this for enough to store books , files , chargers and other accessories and concealed snap closures for easy access. I love the adjustable shoulder Strap it’s long enough that it should wear comfortable on High schooler to Post-Grads.

not enough pockets
Good looking like a bomber jacket, this case at first gives off a great "I just got off my vintage Cessna" vibe. But the problem is there's not enough pockets. There could be, there's room, but you don't get enough except one for the laptop and a sleeve in front. No bomber jacket would have so few pockets! That was disappointing, as there's just too much gear with a laptop (or a small plane) that you want to tote. This misfired terribly by not containing more space for stuff.

Good-looking but lacks some important features
It's a soft supple leather with a pleasing dark distressed finish, not too shiny. It's lined on the inside and has one zippered pocket and one divider plus a large outer pocket. But compared to other similar products I've owned it falls short on a few features:1-- no small pockets or dividers and no places for pens or keys2-- The main fold-over is held in place by two buttons under the fake buckles--- not sure whether they would stay fashioned if carrying heavy books or other materials.3-- the shoulder strap doesn't have padding (strange) and more importantly can't be detached (unacceptable!)Overall, it's a good-looking bag but spoiled by some cost-cutting of expected features found in most competitors.
