worked and tasted great.
Being new to making gluten Free Pies I was more concerned with the filling at this point than the crust and Bob's has not disappointed me yet so I gave it a try. Made Dutch Apple Pie for Thanksgiving and it was a hit. The crust is like a butter cookie which complimented the apples. The instructions were clear cut and easy to follow. The only change that I would make or add to is the use of cooking spray. To chill I placed it between wax paper ( also suggest baking paper) and when I took it out of the frig it stuck. No big deal had to reform and re-roll. Spraying paper with cooking spray would avoid the step backwards. Light spray to pie dish making sure to get lip of dish will also help when removing pie pieces and cleaning pie dish. I did use the food processor for mixing even when adding ice water. Other than that issue with preference to using cooking spray, my family was happy with the results. I was even complimented on my crust :) My son's were looking for the second pie.

If you have celiac disease and yearn for "real" pie crust, look no further!
This pie crust mix is GREAT! The directions are clear and simple and the crust mixes up just like when I used to make wheat-flour based pie crust before my celiac diagnosis. One package makes 2 generous crusts, big enough for deep dish pies. I followed the directions for using a pastry blender and it came out perfect. And - best of all - IT TASTES LIKE PIE CRUST! No funny after-taste or gummy film in your mouth. Crusts bake evenly, and are tender and flaky. They don't over-brown, either; I did not need to cover the edges to prevent burning. I used them at Thanksgiving for my pumpkin pies and my sister in law, who also has celiac, nearly cried with joy. Thank you, thank you, Bob's Red Mill!

Good crust
Review for gluten free pie crust -Tastes good. Really expensive and a lot of work, I’d rather buy premade but no one sells them around here. I am gluten free but not by choice, you need a stand mixer for this, you need much more water than it says and I would recommend rolling it before putting in the fridge (opposite of what it says ) because otherwise it just crumbles and you can’t roll it. Have only tried for pies not calzones or anything else.

Best GF pie crust in my opinion.
This is a great gluten free crust mix. You don't need any unusual ingredients to add to this mix like some of the others. It just calls for butter, shortening and water. OR just butter or just shortening. You can you use either or if you don't have both. Which is great because I don't use shortening. So I make this with all butter. I made cherry pie with it and it turned out great. Even had scraps left to make little heart cutouts for the top. But like all gluten free crusts, you must expect that it's not as easy to work with as reg pie crust. I roll it out on two pieces of overlapped plastic wrap since one isn't wide enough. It definitely takes some patience but my pies always look like regular pies. No one can tell the crusts are gluten free. They taste the same too. Only problem I have is one I seem to have with all gluten free, well all pie crusts in general. The edges getting too over cooked. I put the foil with the whole cut out, I bought the pie edge protectors, but still have this problem. I think I'm going to cover the pie from the start next time and take off the foil for the end of the cooking time.

Wonderful pie crust.. highly recommend
This is almost as good as my mom's. I've tried several different gluten-free pie crust recipes but none of them flaked or tasted anywhere near as good as this mix. I used all butter and it was good. If your tired of trying recipe after recipe and getting blah crust, use this one, it's definitely worth the purchase.

Pie Crust that doesn't act like crust. Awful.
I bought this because I was making empanadas and I wanted to make a gluten free version for myself. It was a good idea, but it doesn't act like pie crust at all. It does taste good so that's why I gave it three stars....but its awful in the works. You can't do much with it. Its like a lump of cement.
