TRUTH WILL SET YOU FREE!
Excellent Read. All my life, and I am over 50, I have read the bible, attended church, listened to my Sunday school teacher and parents on religious/spiritual issues. But in a nutsheell it has all been from a Euro-American perspective? This is the first time I have began reading an extremely detailed a book by a African author, from a African perspective. Acutally, being multi-generationally African-American, before this book, I have never heard Africa's side of the biblical origin as it pertains to spirit, God, death, heaven, the Akans, the origin of people who later became known as Jews from west Africa, the almost identical scripts of ancient Egyptian priests that were incorporated into what we now call the Bible. The black Jesus and the black Madonna who were worshiped by all, way before there was a Europe and before the powers that be transitioned the color of Jesus and his mother (the black Madonna) to the white Jesus and the mother Mary. Prior to the debasing of blackness to facilitate the European slave trade sanctioned by the then Pope and Catholic church.THE BIGGEST QUESTION I HAVE IS WHY? WHY WOULD A PEOPLE CONSPIRE TO TAKE THE ORIGIN OF RELIGION AWAY FROM THE BLACK ANCIENT EGYPTIANS(THE CONCEPT OF GOD, JESUS,THE BLACK MADONNA,) FLIP THE SCRIPT, AND SAY SOMEONE ELSE CREATED THIS, "WITHOUT PROOF"!AS DIFFICULT AS IT MAY BE FOR THE AVERAGE PERSON,IF YOU WERE TO READ THIS BOOK WITH OBJECTIVITY ( LEAVE YOUR BIAS BEHIND ) I THINK YOU WILL BE AMAZED AND INTELLECUALLY STIMULATED. AFTER YOU READ IT, GO BACK TO YOUR SCHOOL,CHURCH, SYNAGOGUE, PLACE OF WORSHIP AND START A BOOK CLUB. REMEMBER, THE ONLY THE TRUTH WILL SET YOU FREE!THANK YOU

GREAT REFERENCE MATERIAL FOR THE BLACK CHURCH
"Scholars of the Age of Enlightenment, especially Diderot's Encyclopaedists particularly Voltaire argued that: Moses was far from being the original source of religion and sicence, but had derived everything from Ancient Egyptians." p150."...the Church's desire to stamp out belief in Ancient Egytptian religious wisdom led to the execution of Giordano Bruno. He had written that Ancient Egyptian religious concepts wer older, purer, and therefore less corrupt than the Catholic Church and Christian Europe." p151This book is scholarly, yet easy to read. It goes deeply into the "African linguistics and cultural side of the biblical story," It argues its case that Christianity is a transported and transposed religion whose roots and origin comes out of Ancient Egypt--Black Africa; it supports this argument with solid evidence taken from many European scholars both past and present, further proving that this is not conjecture or "Black myth and propaganda"; nor is it an attempt to disparage other religions or religious groups. Great book for a book club. Combined with the The Original African Heritage Edition of the King James Bible (also available on AMAZON), these two books are ideal for a REAL Bible Study class!

Great book...
I grew up in the church, and for years there were times where I questioned certain things in the Bible. Plus I was taught not to question my religion, but to have faith in it. When I began to read about my history and culture, I began to feel strange. I knew that Egypt laid the groundwork for what we know as the Bible, but I didn't know where to start researching so that I could get a better understanding.Dr. Darkwah explains from the beginning of what we know today as Christianity comes from (Ancient Egypt), how the modern Jewish (known as the Afrim in the past) moved from Egypt to Europe, and how African names were erased from the book over time. This also made me understand just how and why Europeans could dominate other cultures: by using a religion, all while justifying systems such as slavery. If there was one drawback, it would be the wording of the book. At times it did repeat certain things, and I had to go back and look and them again. However, to know that Egypt consisted of many tribes (such as the Akan), and they migrated to other parts of Africa lets me want to look further, as well as Bible study. Thank you for this book, Dr. Darkwah.

I feel empowered!
I just got through kissing the book, and I'm, only, in the Introduction!!!!I've skimmed through it, and I'm just starting to read it, in depth. Dr. Darkwah's book is awe-inspiring. If you're black and you never got into the Bible, it makes you want to study the Bible. I've spent many a night skimming the book and checking references, in the Bible. I love this book. I'm going to let everyone, in my family, read this book. One of the gems of the book is the fact that it lists out such things, as the physical description of Jesus Christ. I knew, from an earlier Bible, that Jesus "skin was like onyx and his hair was wooly" but, like Dr. Darkwah points out, those descriptions have been changed by people who aren't black for Revised editions, of the Bible. The book makes you think. For instance, Eden, on Earth, is literally, in Africa. The description of the rivers of Eden describe the Tigris, Euphrates, and the Nile Rivers, all in Africa. We know from the Lucy skeleton and genetic studies that the first man on Earth was born in Africa. It's just amazing that it's confirmed, in the Bible. That's just one gem from the book. There are many others. I'm so excited. Thank you Dr. Darkwah.

Small print
I just received the book and am excited to get into it. Reading the introduction and am very intrigued by what I have read so far. My biggest issue is the small print. I already wear reading glasses and I am having difficulty reading more than a few paragraphs at a time because my eyes get tired. I wish there was a kindle version so that I could adjust the size of the print. Other than that, excellent read, thought provoking. Looking forward to reading the rest of it.
