This aerator is as described, assemble was straight forward or be it a bit time consuming. Construction was robust and well made , giving some weight for earth penetration. I have used on my lawns, and it worked well, there had been rain for a few days prior. If there was to be a critism it was the large clearance between shaft and hanger brackets, this did not detract from overall performance.

Item arrived quickly. My 75 year old father can use it easily. Only got 4 stars as a nut and bolt were missing.

Fiddly but easy enough to put together. Used on my quite damp turf and despite needing to push down somewhat on the aerator to get it into the ground it wasn't too bad and did make the necessary holes for aeration. Not sure how easy it would be on rock hard dry ground but if you choose your times it will do it's job.

The grass aeratore is very sturdy once assembled, it takes a bit of time to assemble as you have to screw and tighten each spike with a small spanner (supplied). The handle was quite easy to fit although it looks as if a small disc was missing to fill in a round hole at the top of the handle. In use it was very good and dug holes very quickly and was easy to push, I recommend this product.

Product delivered as lots of parts. Each individual spike has to be fitted on the roller but this is OK when you get into your stride.The 3 part handle has to be tightened as much as possible to give rigidity.Once assembled it has a bit of weight overall but still requires a bit of downward pressure on wet ground.

For the money I was sceptical about the sturdiness and ability of this tool. I need not have been, it was easy to put together and robust enough for the job. The spikes are a good length and well spaced together. The ground was very wet which helped a lot. The best technique I found was to use my body weight over the handle, rather than pushing it along from behind.Amazingly I did our 160 sqm lawn both up and down and sideways in just over an hour. We had been paying for this to be done, so immediately I've got much more than my money back in one go.Others have have said don't use in the dry and I would agree with this.

made some modifications to the aerator to make it more easy for me to use.the original set ut was easy to put together but i had to add a little more weight to it for it too work for me as i am aerating a bowling green with it,works well for me now

You need to be fit to ensure that this penetrates the soil. Sturdy product and, contrary to other reviewers, it was easy to put together.
