The target stick isn’t very big or thick but it is functional since your supposed to use it to point, and not give it to the bird for them to gnaw on or anything. It is perfect size for the smaller birds we have but will also work for our larger double yellow head desertcart. That aside I will say this...I have found The Parrot Wizards videos on YouTube very informative and really helpful in the time since we started having birds as pets. We also find his website to be a great resource as well. We love his videos and our birds all have benefited from us watching them together as a family, kids included. My 10 year old son(who got us into birds in the first place)is a big fan of the YouTube channel, and dreams of doing something similar in the future, so the fact that the clicker has the parrot wizard logo on it made his day when he opened the package and his face lit up, and that was well worth ordering this and not just going and buying one at a pet store.
