These were simple to unpack and plant, but they certainly don't flower in what I would consider "a few weeks." After four weeks both of the ones I planted have only grown about 1/2 inch. Perhaps the admonishment in the instructions not to water until the flower tips appear is a bit too harsh. In any event, I have started to give them a little bit of water and will order earlier in future.

I bought 2 kits. One is growing quickly, the other is not growing at all. I started growing them 2 weeks after purchase.

I WOULD FOR SURE NEVER ORDER THIS ITEM FROM THIS SELLER OR ANYONE ELSE. I HAVE NEVER SEEN AN AMARYLLIS BULB THIS SMALL BEFORE. NOT EVEN WORTH HALF THE PRICE.

Have grown successfully many Amaryllis bulbs that I purchased locally over the years. THIS ONE was purchased as a gift for me from a relative. All the instructions were followed which were no different than any other I have grown. It took a very long time to sprout. When the flower bud emerged at the bulb it never grew any further. It seemed like the bulb was stunted. Never had poor luck growing Amaryllis. This never grew any more than weak spindly leaf foliage; never flowered.

I am sending my bulb back to Amazon. It’s been weeks since I planted this and nothing is growing. The bulb looked fair, not Top of the line, so I took a chance on it I can’t believe Amazon wants me to mail back a dead bulb, the soil and a cheap pot.! Wait—I cannot believe this, IT IS GROWING!!! 4 stars

I am amazed how quickly I received this order! Especially since I was so excited to get it! I've used this kit before and it grew to beautiful flowers that everyone loved. My friends could not believe it was grown from a bulb right in my house!!.I know this will be a beautiful addition to my holiday décor as the timing should be perfect for the flower to open.Love it!!

I bought 20 of these bulbs to give away to relatives, friends, neighbors, and colleagues at work. Now, when I go to my hairdresser, I get to see the bulb's progress, and the whole shop is waiting for the bloom. Attached is a picture of one I gave to a colleague at work, then he "re-gifted" it to his daughter who teaches fourth grade in an urban school. The whole class was thrilled when the bulb bloomed.

This particular bulb bloomed 10 times. The normal two rounds w/4 blooms and one round w/2. I will spend my money with this vendor again. Beautiful color, easy to pot, everything was provided.
