what is the material made of?

Hello and thank you for reaching out! The plush material and filling are made out of polyester.

Description mentions counterfeits, how can you tell by picture? is this a made in usa product?

If you order a doll that bills and ships from Amazon you can be confident it is our product. If it ships directly from China it is not. Look for a professional-looking hang tag and sew-in labels. All of our dolls are manufactured in China, but ship solely from the USA. If you did not order directly from Amazon, it is likely you ordered a doll from a non-licensed counterfeit supplier. Therefore, the doll you ordered has probably NOT been tested for safety and may not be child-safe. We have been working hard to get counterfeit sellers off Amazon. Please return the one you ordered and post about your experience on the seller's page. Thank you.

Per the tag, "Doll made in China"

Is this a hand puppet?? Or a solid plush doll??

Not a hand puppet. It's a plush doll.

With his signature big feet, floppy legs, and a big heart, this 14.5" Pete is ready to cuddle up, stroll through town or sing a song. Safe for all ages, perfect for ages 2 and up. Review: Purrfect Pete the Cat - This is such a well made toy and is exactly as pictured. The perfect size for tiny hands and for little ones who love the books and tv show it just adds to their enjoyment. My 2-1/2 year old granddaughter is absolutely delighted with her Pete the Cat!

Smaller then expected but perfect!

I was so happy that this arrived and fast! It’s for my 2 year old for Christmas from my daughter. I imagined it being bigger, but then again that’s my fault for not really reading the sizing. 😊😜 So here is a photo for a bit of a size difference! 🙂 Very happy with this purchase. I think it could have been maybe a bit cheaper for the size? But still happy! Thank You!
