Yamu 100% Cotton Down Proof Ticking PillowHeavy Quality Fabric 42" Wide by the yard

I purchased this ticking in March of 2019, and used it to recover a down pillow that was coming apart after decades of use. It wasn't as smooth feeling as previous ticking I have purchased, but I didn't thing much about that. I would always have a pillowcase on it. Unfortunately, not only have down and feathers consistently escaped the fabric, but the ticking has pilled. I have only ever used a 100% silk pillowcase on this particular pillow. I made it a smaller than normal size (toddler or travel) and silk are the only cases I have for this size. I'm disappointing that I purchased more than I need for this project because in reality the ticking is useless.If you look at the picture I added, you can see both the pilling and the small pieces of down stuck to the fabric.

This fabric is not down proof. I realized it the moment I saw it. I have purchased down proof fabric before and it is a much higher thread count, you cannot see through it as with this yardage and cannot push a feather end through it as with this. I am very disappointed and will not buy from this seller again.

It's working great for my couch cushions for keeping the down inside and not on my floor, clothes, hair, etc. The downside is not the product but the delivery. It took more than a week. By the time I got it I forgot I had ordered it.

This product worked like a charm. No more feathers coming out of my throw pillows.

I like this product because I can encase feathers without having to depend up traditional ticking which allows stripes to show through light color pillow fabric. It's also helpful that it's wider than most ticking fabric.
