Works great! Tested and love it!
I have a Dell Inspiron 3891. A lot of the newer PC's are starting to not include CD drives so I went ahead and ordered a Blu-Ray drive for my PC. It was very easy to install and the system picked up on the drive immediately after powering on.I did run into a situation. It could be from the windows aspect, or just that the CD drive was different, but I ran into an issue when installing a game through the CD-ROM drive to where it said "An administrator has blocked you from using this app". Luckily, I was able to YouTube how to fix the error and it worked like a charm!I would highly recommend this drive and will post pictures later! If you run into the same issue I have, YouTube how to fix it and it will give you a step by step guide!

Exactly what I needed
Purchased to upgrade the drive in my laptop so I can watch BluRay movies. For now I have it mounted in an external enclosure (purchased separately), and it works like a charm. When I have more time to goof off I may look into permanent installation in my laptop, but it's perfectly fine as an external add on.

Faulty Write Laser, Wasted Disks
I bought this drive because the OEM one in my laptop had a dying read laser. The read laser on this product works fine, but the write laser is faulty. I wasted 5 disks before returning the defective product to Amazon. Every failed burn would go fine for about 2~3 mins, & then would fail and throw up errors. I bought B07GN5B2C6 SilverStone Technology 9.5/12.7mm Slim Blu-Ray/DVD/CD Read and Write Tray-Loading Optical Disk (SST-TOB04) as a replacement, & am able to burn disks again.

great product works as advertised
Installed in my Dell inspiron 3910 works great fits good only thing I could not use the two mounting serewsto hold the drive in place, but even so it still works ad looks great.

Satisfied in all respects
Replaced original, non-functioning, CD/DVD player/burner, with this blu-ray player/burner, in my Toshiba P75-A7200 laptop.Much faster than my original player/burner was, back when it was working. Installation was easy, and performance is great!

Fits an HP OMEN 880 desktop PC
Fits perfectly in an HP OMEN 880 desktop PC.......Much quieter than the one it replaced of similar part number.A bit slower than my external Buffalo BD-R burner that runs at 12X.I have only burned 1 Verbatim 16x BD-R disc but it did it quietly and did not get hot like some burner drives do.

Bought this to update an older PC so I could make a DL BluRay Windows 10 installation disc of the latest version, 20H1 2004. No problems at all.

Know what Region Code your optical drive is set for before you buy!
Mashita optical drives region code cannot be switched using the device manger/properties. The region code is burned into the hardware on these drives. I returned mine.
