2.5mm Mono Plug to 3.5mm Mono Jack Adapter for SlingBox by Infrared Resources

I had an old Mistubishi DLP set that was state of the art when I got it, but now had become obsolete. I donated it, but wisely kept the 4-eye IR blasters it came with. I already used an RF to IR transmitter to control my home theater components hidden behind solid walnut, but while yanking wires to install a new 3D monster LED TV, I broke one of the IR cables. My current RF-IR remote extender used a 2.5mm jack, while my Mitsu DLP IR blasters had a 3.5mm plug. This one little inexpensive item saved the day. The old Mitsu IR blasters now connected to my current RF-IR Remote extender and they work like a charm. Facing having to buy an entirely new IR Remote extender ($99) this $4 part was a great find.

These adapters are good for use for IR Blaster inputs as these inputs are usually 2.5mm and most IR sensors use 3.5mm. This adapter is needed to connect the IR Blaster to the IR Blaster card. I had no issues with these as they fit perfectly and worked as expected.

They either work, or they don't. This one does. I ended up having to return it, only because the item I was replacing wasn't the problem. They were great on the customer service side though, and the orders were handled efficiently

I think I got these things for my cell phone. I really don't remember. But they were reasonably priced and they make a good product so I got these from Infrared Resources.

If your Slingbox needs a new blaster then this is what you need along with a 7 ft. Ir Blaster Cable by Infrared Resources. This company is also fast with shipping, and very competitive on their pricing. I will do business again with them.

It is a simple adapter and it works. I am using it for an IR cable that needed a different size plug that is not a SlingBox. Not much else to say.
