I've used Duck Tape for Years but it's definitely went down in quality like a lot of things unfortunately. I've used all kinds of Gorilla Tape from Gray to Black and they all have held up and been great quality is it more expensive than Duck Tape? Yes it is but if it holds like it should for Years instead of Weeks or Months then it's definitely worth the extra cost. If you have to keep reapplying Original Duck Tape you'll end up spending as much as you spend on one Roll of Gorilla Tape that lasts longer so in my opinion Gorilla Tape is well worth the extra cost! I highly recommend Gorilla Tape!

I bought this tape because I have a very expensive pair of Italian black rubber spa sandals I have been wearing for years. They are starting to crack and fall apart; got to the point of being unwearable. I can't bring myself to spend the cash for a new pair, so I got this tape and wrapped it around the torn strap that goes over the foot. It holds beautifully and stays in place. Today a sole suddenly split; once more, the shoe was unwearable. Grabbed my tape and wrapped a couple layers of it over the split sole (and intact insole): the shoe is perfect to wear now. I wear these shoes outside and if my strangely critical neighbors notice they are held together with duct tape, it's their problem; not mine. I don't care! The shoes are comfortable and I don't have to spend a huge wad of cash on new ones (while adding to the landfill). Fixing old things and keeping them useful is the road to happiness (almost).

Used it to tape my Toyota's plastic front bumper that was ripped in half by a car that zoomed in front of me too close. It held together through autumn and winter, rain and snow, and 65+ mph highway winds. Black tape on my black car blended in so you can hardly see it. I couldn't peel it off, even if I wanted to. It's not so tacky that it sticks to everything you don't want it to while you apply it. The only problem was that I left the roll in the car (just in case) and the heat and cold freeze/thaw/cooked it so I can't peel of the tape from the role. The extremes of temperature made it unusable.Keep it at room temp & you'll be fine. I'll always keep a roll of this around. Better to have it and not need it.

I used this to block drainage holes in cache pots so I could put my plants in a nursery pot inside the cute-looking planter without needing a saucer. I do leave some of my plants sitting with a little water, so I needed tape that was going to LOCK IN. This one did that! No water slips through, it's easy to work with, and it's super sticky. You can't rip it as easily as other duct tape, but it's the same width, just thicker. no budging as long as the surface you work with is dry.

It works but almost impossible to open the tape to apply to the hose which has a leak.

Gorilla absolutely knows what they are doing. You shouldn't waste money on any other brand.I used this to repair a crack in my bumper. And it's holding on so well.I don't buy anything but Gorilla brand when it's something they make that I need. It's a great value for the price vs amount you receive.

I don't even know what I am going to do with this, but it's friggin awesome. Great quality and looks good. I wish there was more of it, and that they had different widths. very cool.
