Works! But note: need to have your own USB power supply
This product has been working for 3 months and counting (usually I'm taking a risk when I'm buying on the lower pricing end for these products). But so far, they're working after daily power cycles... speaking of which, it does come with a USB cable for power source BUT does NOT come with the power adapter. (Hence the lower price point). However I had plenty of extra/spare power adapters so that wasn't a big deal but do know.. you will need to provide your own power adapter (5V..1A)

First One Was Bad. Second One OK
The connection for the optics into the unit is so bad that it's nearly useless. I'm chalking this one up to me being too cheap to realize you get what you pay for much of the timeUpdate. The company sent me a new unit, free of charge which was nice. I no longer have an issue with the loose connection but the volume output from my device isn't very loud. I'd say it's just OK

Sound may cut out occasionally
Bought a new TV that only has an optical output, so I needed to buy a converter to continue using my stereo system. The first one I ordered had to be exchanged as it completely stopped working after a few hours. The replacement works well enough, but occasionally it will stop functioning and I'll need to reset/fiddle with it to get it working again. Overall good when it is working.

Solved my problem!
I used this to add on a powered sub to my TVs speakers. Just ran an optical cable from my TVs output and used this to convert the signal to AV cables which plug into the sub. From there my TVs audio settings allowed me to adjust the timing of the optical output which WAS necessary since there was a bit of delay.

Does what it's supposed to
I have a sound bar that only accepts analog input. The analog output on my TV was very noisy however with lots of buzzing. Used this to go optical out on the TV to analog in on the sound bar and all is well.

Worked like a charm and solved my problems.
Plugged directly into the back of the fiber TOSlink connection on the back of my Sony Bravia and then out to my old Sony receiver with RCA cables. It works well and even came with an TOSLINK cable and power cable. Thumbs up!
