Tommee Tippee Perfect Prep Replacement Filter

Don’t bother getting a new filter if your machine is broke. Make sure it still works before purchasing! Ours died about three years and they are discontinued in the States.

This is our favorite way to make bottles. Especially helpful and easy at night. glad we found these refills.

Price seems reasonable given it stops your baby getting poorly. It’s just one of those things you have to buy plus you get one with the machine in the first place. Easy to replace just remember to do a cleaning cycle. Also, have noticed on other reviews that people are replacing their filters once the red filter light comes on and saying they didn’t get 3 months worth. The manual says a solid red light is just an early indicator and you don’t need to replace filter until it starts flashing. My prep machine started flashing after approx a week and a haltf from solid to flashing. Worth a mention to get full use out of filter.

I wrote a 1 star review regarding the black spots in the filter. Which amazon didn't publish as it had nothing to do with product apparently. Anyway this review is to highlight that if you find black specs on your filter dont be alarmed it is only food grade carbon which is absolutely safe. I gave it 4 star because i went through a great deal of stress to finally find that information. Tomee tipee were very helpful via Facebook chat and told me it's ok. So incase you find black dots or specs don't be alarmed.

If you use a Perfect Prep from TommeeTippee, then you have no choice really but to buy these. After around 4-6 weeks of use your machine will go red and demand you change the filter. It won't work again until you change it (or at least trick the machine into thinking you did, which I had to do one morning when we didn't have a backup)The process of changing filters takes quite some time, as you have to drain down the machine of any existing water, then fill with boiling water and drain through again with new filter. This takes quite some time, but I guess it's safeguarding your child from bacteria filled water.There's nothing particularly wrong with this, but I think the Prep was expensive to start with so to sign you up to ~£12 a month filter charge as well is quite pricey in my opinion.Anyway it does the job fine, gives some peace of mind, but is expensive and quite a faff to replace.

Genuine product, fitted perfectly and works well

These filters are a must have if used with the tommee tippee perfect prep machine. My now 5 month old daughter has been bottle fed since 3 days old and this is my second filter (a light will flash on your machine when to change the filter so it depends on the quantity your baby drinks). I seeing as a filter came with the machine and already replaced once, I feel these are great value for money. They do the job well, my daughter drinks all her bottles with no problems.
