sensually good
I have been waiting for Blade's story every since Slow Burn, and I can honestly say it was to me well worth the wait. Player to the end Blade finally meets his match in Samari Di Meglio a bonefide player hater. She keeps and maintains Blade's attention from the start. We all know that player Blade is not use to working to get a women or one to deny his advances so his male pride is damaged and he has to at least get her in his bed if nothing else at all cost. Their struggle for power with each other and trying to denie the attraction is just a part of the puzzle that is taking place in this book. Then of course there is Suspence and Intrigue that will keep you guessing who is after Sam and why. And if Great gramma Leverne would have had one more fish dream I don't know what I would have done lot's and lot's of pregnacies some are surprising and a couple of shockers. But in the end Blade proves to be a true Madaris man with all the pride and glory, and Brenda Jackson also brings you up to date with just about every body. She also set's us up for the next Madaris books. Luke's brother Reese is brought to the scene and also there seems to be a plot brewing with Sam's brother DeAngelo and her and Mac's partner Peyton. Will it happen we will have to wait and see but I believe it will.I recommend this book to all the Madaris and Friend Lovers like myself you will not be disappointed.

Bitter Sweet???
Okay..How do I feel about this book? I know I love Blade that goes without question. He's as cocky and arrogant as they come and that's what makes him so hot. Now as for Samari, I can understand her being angry about the past and even taking it out on a few people, but what she did to Blade I could barely read. This is the first time I've read one of these books and said EEWWW. I felt like slapping her through the pages. I felt like he forgave her too easily & she didn't even apologize. Then I was ok with how the story started to turn but I felt like there was not enough emphasis on the fact that he was no longer a player. His lifestyle changed drastically and it really wasn't addressed. No girls came out of woodworks to yell or slap her around. I don't know I figured it would be a bigger deal than that. LOVED the love scenes in this one. I figured they should be steamy with his rather active sex life. Happy with the way it ended of course but I wanted a little more.

Annoyed with Samari
Let me start off my saying I love Brenda Jackson's books. I have been following the Madaris family and friends stories for a long time. Love the fact that Brenda is able to weave past characters into her current storylines. This storyline was okay. I found myself liking Blade more than I thought I would. Despite his player status you knew he wasn't purposely trying to hurt any of his bedmates. Blade is quite clear that he was not planning on being anyone's boyfriend, husband or daddy. He was honest about his intentions. I liked Blade but Samari on the other hand... Samari a self proclaimed player hater believed that it was her right to take men like Blade down a few notches. Samari had her own relationship baggage that she never dealt with in a healthy way other than making it her mission to humiliate players. Did Samari really believe that her actions towards any of the players was really going to cause them to change? For all of her player hating talk Samari really did seem to enjoy Blade's skills!!! I found myself annoyed with Samari more than any other female protagonist in Brenda's books. Samari came off as very immature and dishonest. I felt that she needed to get over herself with her fake bravado. To me she was just like the other women that wanted to enjoy Blade sexually but just wasn't honest enough to admit it. I thought I had the whodoneit figured out but Brenda threw in a twist...classic Brenda all the way. As a side note: A criticism of Brenda books in general is the pregnancies. Can any of her married couples (Alex & Christy are the only ones) put off parenthood longer than six months of marriage. I would love to see where we have a couple or two that makes a decision to wait a few years or decide to not have children at all. It's like they aren't even able to be allowed to enjoy married life before they have children.

Player vs Player Hater
Awesomely written!! As usual, I enjoyed the book like I always do. I was not sure what to expect from the book when it first started. How Blade (the player) was going to get Sam (the player hater), it’s twists and turns kept me intrigued. I enjoyed every bit of it. Right to the end. I would definitely recommend this book.Ms. Jackson has done it again...Thank youBan

Good read
Samari and Blade both were two strong willed people who from the start seemed to hold a bucket full of sexual tension between them. Blade was really aggressive in trailing Sam to get what he wanted. The games Sam was playing I was surprised someone hadn't forced themselves on her. She was playing a dangerous game especially if she took any of them as far as she did with Blade in her home. At that point in the story I thought she was really silly to go to that length to teach a man a lesson that really could've bitten her in butt. In the end the story was really good with more drama then enough.

Great Read and funny too
Even though I’m over the ‘Player-turned-husband’ plot lines, because frankly Clayton was a H** LOL! had to be said. Wish Brenda Jackson would write a story where the man is a virgin. Instead of them constantly “needing to fulfil their male urges”😒Blade and Samari’s story was truly entertaining, mainly due to their personalities and dynamic. One thing that got me, was that Alex Maxwell is always describe as being a Top detective, whose reputation precedes him, but this is the second time he has come to the wrong conclusion😂(first being Slade and Skye’s story), only this time, it nearly cost someone their life.
