Paraout Altus SL-M310 Shifter 8-speed right with brake cable, black

the quality of this shifter is significantly less than the genuine Shimano stuff I've used. that said, it does seem to work OK, but it came in a plain brown box, no instruction sheet, and the shift indicator is sloppy, as are the detents for gear selection its marked Shimano, but I'm really wondering if this is a knock off.

This is a good budget shifter. Its body is plastic but thats ok. This is the lowest end shifter I would ever consider using. If your building your self a ride or upgrading from a twist shifter this is a good choice.

I was rejuvenating an ancient MTB. The old 8 speed XT shifter had given up doing its thing but this was an easy drop in replacement. It is a Shimano shifter, I don’t know why the title says Paraout.

One star! The shifting was backwards! The return lever shifted the gears up and the gear up lever shifted the gears down! Plus it didn't even come with instructions! I don't think is was even brand new! Total CRAP! It's got to be a knock off!

The attachment to the handlebars was a solid fixed unit. I could not take off handlebar grips or hand brake. Therefore I could not attach shifter. Looking for way to return item and replace with a shifter that will work.

Knock off shifter made of cheap plastic. Doesn’t shift smoothly and didn’t work with my Shimano 8speed cassette.
