Liliana Cruz Embroidered Mexican Peasant Mini Dress

For reference, I am 5'6" and wear a size 12 US, 38DD/DDD bra.Because of all the reviews saying how small the dress ran, the size chart, and the seller's comment about how the XXL ran small, I ordered the XXL hoping it would fit over my chest (I knew the fabric would not stretch). I usually wear an XL top in non-stretchy fabrics, so I figured one size up would be ideal if it ran small.In truth, the XXL was huge on me! There was at least a foot too much fabric, even around my chest. I ended up paying more for the alterations than I did for the dress itself. This was my choice tho, as I wanted the dress for an anniversary weekend and didn't have time to return it and get a new smaller size.The alterations did make the dress fit much better but it's a lot shorter now. This leads me to believe that if I'd gotten the XL it would be about this length. The fitted dress falls several inches above my knee and rides up a lot when I sit down. I have short legs, too, so long legged girls may find it too short. I can wear it with flat sandals, but with wedges it looks like I forgot my pants!The embroidery is pretty, but I will be very careful when washing so it doesn't fall apart. The fabric is thin and reminds me of the fabric they make scrubs out of. Fine for the navy dress I got, but with the lighter colors I'd beware. I still wear a slip under it to be safe.In hindsight I don't know that I would order this again, but it's cute and colorful. However, now that I've spent so much money on the dang thing I'll be wearing it all summer just to make myself feel I got my money's worth. lol

Just slightly shorter and smaller than I hoped. High quality, though. I rated sheerness 3star bc the material is thin and breathable, but I wasn't expecting it to be thick. It doesn't have a sheen like one would expect for something sheer.

Its overall nice looking and perfect length but yes the body part will be a bit flowy and big since its oversize style but the sleeves are where it can go either way. My mother is size L and I bought her XL just incase and good thing I did cause it just barely fit comfortably enough. She said the sleeve are barely big enough but the dress she can fix with a Mexican style cloth wrap so she is okay with that. She does love the color and wants me to get her a shirt to

The color is not as shown, and lends more towards green than teal in my opinion. But the seller offers many color options, and the fabric is very comfortable and the embroidery exquisite. I had read reviews so I ordered a size larger, but it was almost too large. Since the seams are completely unfinished and raveling (no surprise, after reading reviews), I re-sewed them all with my serger, and made long darts in the back, from the yoke to the hemline, taking them in a little at the waistline. This gave the blouse less of a barrel shape, and I say blouse, because I wanted to use this "dress" as a blouse. I believe only a tiny person could wear it modestly as a dress. I am very pleased with this purchase - especially at this price.

I really like this Mexican dress/shirt. It reminds me of the long embroidered dress my parents brought back from Mexico 40-something years ago. It is well made, and I’ve washed it a couple of times on the gentle cycle and dried it on low for 10 minutes before hanging it to dry the rest of the way. I did wash it inside-out and in a lingerie bag to be extra careful. It’s so pretty (and not exactly cheap) that I wanted to be really careful before I could figure out just how “sturdy” it is. I got a big size to fit over my big, middle-aged gut, so the length hits mid-thigh. If I were young and skinny, it would be a cute little dress, but I’m not, so I wear it as a tunic-shirt with capri leggings.

I've bought several of these dresses and have been very happy with them. This one is just like the others, very well made and of good quality. The only reason I did not give it at 5 star is because the color is not as indicated online. It is more of a green color. I am okay with it, but it is not a teal color. I did check it on 3 computers and 2 tablets, and the color was consistent, so it was not my computer, it is the picture shown looking like teal, but being a deeper, greener color. Still a good buy.

Great dress, perfect length for someone short like me. 5'1". ordered 3x, usually wear a large or 1x, but wanted it loose. size seems accurate. Only problems is the cloth the the dress was made from is rather thin, will have to wear additional clothing beyond just underwear and bra due to sheerness.

I love this dress! I ordered it in white alongWith a matching one for my 4 year old daughter. I also ordered a top in blue last week. I am extremely happy with all three. I gave five stars to all. My daughter was so excited to see matching mommy/daughter dresses come in the mail. The clothing is beautiful and very good quality... and not only that but both times I ordered my packages came two days early! I will be ordering more in other colors. I am more than satisfied with my purchases... for the sizing i stuck to the chart for my daughter.Fits her good with room to grow without looking obnoxious lol... and for my dress I ordered a small. I am 5'1 125 lbs... it comes just above my knees and fits great with a room to spare. Its more than cute. In my shirt I also ordered a small. Again perfect fit.
