Works for Pixel 3
This works for my Pixel 3. Charges at full speed, audio sounds great.Note that you can use either both together, only the charger, or only the audio if you want. All of those work, I checked.Also, just to note: I had something happen where I was using the headphones and plugged in the power and the audio switched from the headphones to the phone (I expect this is a phone software issue, not an issue with this device). Anyway, when I unplugged the dongle and plugged it back in, the audio went back to the headphones. I think little things like this might be why some people are claiming that you can use the headphone jack without supplied power. But you can. If something weird like that happens, just unplug the dongle and plug it back in and it seems to work fine.Also, the quality seems good. It has a quality durable aluminum casing.

Solid build, stopped working after a few weeks
The build of the unit is pretty solid. I like the metal that surrounds each piece and the cabling is thick and sturdy. Unfortunately in my car I get static when both charging and playing audio, but it does work. This happened when I would charge and play audio with a phone with a USB + Aux, so I don't really hold it against this product. I used the product in place of the USB/Aux adapted that came with my Pixel 2 for just audio for roughly 3 weeks without noticing any difference in audio quality. Then finally one morning the male USB end of the adapter stopped making contact with the phone. I verified that the phones USB jack is still functional, so it is definitely the adapter's plug. I'll be returning it, but don't intended on trying another one due to the static.

Works with Essential PH-1
I bought the adapter so that I can connect an external microphone to my Essential PH-1 and capture better audio for my videos. While plugged in with my phone charger feed power, my phone shows charging rapidly and I can also listen to audio via external speakers. Seems to be functioning flawlessly for me and the first video I recorded sounded great, much better than I was getting previously without an external mic.

Did not work with Pixel 3
I bought this for the Pixel 3 and it does not charge. It will play the audio with a static sound. But it did not charge.

Failed after just over a month.
This dongle failed just over a month of use and 2 weeks past return date with Amazon.The dongle lived an easy life next to my bed and was plugged into my phone at night to allow me to use headphones and charge at the same time. When it worked, it worked well. It did pass power through to quick charge my Pixel 3 - and it did pass decent audio quality. But living an easy life it died just over a month.Amazon did agree to accept a return as a one-time exception.

Must have adapter and works with pixel XL 2
Finally decided to get this, I don't understand why phone are being made this way, I have Bluetooth headphones but the 3.5 is reliable and doesn't require charging like Bluetooth devices. I have the pixel xl2. This charges rapidily and I can listen to music at the same time. But minus one star because I wasn't able to use the mic from my phone when I'm using this adapter unfortunately. Feels like a well built product as well and not so flimsy.

Received broken adaptor, but order was fixed
It charged the Pixel 3 but did not work with the headphones - turned out to be faulty adaptor...Update: The company reached out and sent me a new one that did in fact work with my Pixel 3! Great Customer Service!

Mic doesn't work
Audio is fine but it does not work with the microphone on my headphones. I have a Google Pixel 2 XL
