Currently hot garbage
Somewhere along the line to android 9 this app stopped getting updates and now the entire service is wreckedYou can no longer find connections, can no longer use phones wifi directory to guide the device, nor use any of its intended functionsIn short, due to software fails the device overnight can go from great to terrible garbage if ur wifi password/ modem breaksan update: upon a rigorous amount of testing ( its my day job) I found out that 4 year old phones out of service with any modern android system (roughly speaking maybe its android 7 or 8) are still possibly operational with these outlets. So u will need two phones in your life, one to connect the outlet to ur wifi (the older phone), then the other for the daily operation. These guys are idiots, they made sure the app works with latest os but forget to make sure the connect function on the app is still functional. it isnt. use an old phone when setting up these outlets and thank me later when ur back up and running again :p

Alexa App Doesn’t Work
Does not work with the latest Alexa app. Amazon changed the Skills section and it no longer works like the instructions, not at all. You have to log into the K Smart app and once you’re in there Alexa doesn’t recognize it as a device.

Makes life convienent
These are my first smart plugs and they are great. My tv and other devices are mounted high and Im about 5 foot tall and always loose the remote, this is perfect because I just tell Alexa to turn off the tv and she does

Easy to Use & Control
I bought two of these to control table lamps manually from my phone while away from home. I do not have any smart home tech in my house other than this and a WiFi thermostat. The interface is easy to use, easy to connect the units, and easy to operate. You can create multiple schedules if you want to get detailed, or just press the power button within the app to turn the socket on or off.
