Support Unavailable - Keypad works - But Programming Issues
I purchased this keypad for a new game in my escape room. I had some issues with programming, but support was not available. I asked a question on how to contact support, but the supplier did not answer. The keypad is made of sturdy construction. It comes with 4-pages of instructions which are mostly translated well but has a few grammars errors letting you know that this product is a translation from another language. Keypad comes with a light tan case that can be used to mount to a wall. It comes with hardware and spring for the anti-tampering feature.I love that it supports up to 8 digits as so many of these keypads only support 4. I also love that it is only a momentary, less than 1 second, beep when it powers on.It has a wonderful feature where you can program it to use only the numeric code entry. You do have to have all the codes the same length if you turn this feature on. Otherwise, a user must enter # after entering their security code.It supports up to 999 user codes. The 4 pages of instructions do not provide good guidance on the inputs and outputs. I used a competitors wiring diagram for connection to aid in wiring it up. I have included it in this review so that everyone else can take advantage of the possible setups. I apologize that it does promote a competitor, but feel that that the wiring example will be of benefit of other potential purchasers. The only feature I could not get working is the acceptance of individual user codes. I have a master code and a user code programmed. As the instructions indicate, I receive a two beep tone indicating successful programming of the user code. Unfortunately, in actual use, I can only use the master code for actual use. Even though the yellow light flashes twice and the beep is played twice, indicating successful programming, I get five flashing lights and 5 beeps when I attempt to use the code, which instructions indicate is a failure or unrecognized code.Fortunately, in my setup, the master code works great and no one playing my game has attempted to program the keypad. Because of this, I have given it 3 stars. I'd be happy to change to 5 stars if the manufacturer wants to provide support for their product and help me get the user code working.Edited to add 4 pages of instructions - 12/27/18
