10GBase-SR SFP+ Transceiver Module
I got this 10GBase-SR SFP+ transceiver for my home network setup. I bought some 10GB switches a while back that have ports for SFP+ transceivers, but I wasn't quite ready to tackle fiber. I mean, I've always been comfortable with routing ethernet copper cables, but.. fiber? Anyway, these are priced well and I already had the switches, so why not? I got the fiber patch cables and just like that, I have my home network switches connected via super-high-speed and reliable fiber optic cable. Woo Hoo! It was just so much easier than a non-pro like me ever imagined. I wish I'd done it a lot sooner. This transceiver is a solid performerโplugged into my switch with an LC connector and paired with multimode fiber, it delivers steady 10G speeds across the entire length of my home with the greatest of ease. The 850nm wavelength flawlessly handles the high-bandwidth loads I run on my network 24 hours a day every day. The build feels durable, with no connection issues or overheating as measured by my right index fingertip. It arrived undamaged, well-packaged. A minor note: the latch is slightly stiff. Great for home networks or home labs like mine, and probably food for commercial use too. I definitely recommend!

Solid 10G SFP+ for the price
I needed a pair of SFP+ modules for my SAN build, one in the remote switch and one in the new SAN switch, with LC to LC fiber between them. For under $9 each, I did not expect much. You simply cannot find LC SFP+ transceivers at this price point, yet these work perfectly for my setup. Dropped into the TP-Link switches without complaint, recognized instantly, and pushing 10G just fine. Rated for 300 meters over multimode fiber which is far more than I need. Form factor is standard so compatibility is not an issue. If you are outfitting a home lab or SAN and donโt want to pay Cisco prices, these little modules get the job done for next to nothing. Absolute bargain. ONE NOTE however...the picture is misleading. This is not a PAIR of SFP+'s...its ONE. I'm ok having had to buy a second one at $9 but be aware despite the picture, there's only one in the package. Still worth it.

Works perfectly! Plug and Play. Great value for the money! No complaints.
I ordered this transceiver to provide a fiber interconnect between network switches in my home. The transceiver was literally plug and play. Power down switch, plug in the module, bring the switch back up and it was immediately recognized by the system. No configuration changes needed. Very nice. Of course, the most important aspect is that of connectivity. The transceiver functions perfectly, providing the expected network speeds between the switches. All in all, this is a great value for the money as an alternative for more expensive SFP+ modules. I have no complaints, and this comes highly recommended!

Reliable 10G SFP+ module with broad compatibility and stable performance
I picked up this 10G SFP+ multimode transceiver to expand a small network setup, and itโs been working perfectly so far. Installation was simpleโjust plug it into the SFP+ slot and it gets recognized instantly without any compatibility complaints. Iโve tested it with a couple different brands, including a switch and a router from different manufacturers, and it linked up at full 10 gig speed every time. The 850nm multimode design is ideal for shorter runs, and the 300 meter range is more than enough for most indoor setups. The connection has stayed stable with no drops, and the module stays reasonably cool even under constant traffic. For a single transceiver, it feels well built and performs exactly like a more expensive name-brand version. If youโre upgrading to 10G and need something dependable that wonโt break the budget, this one delivers without any fuss. Photos are accurate of the product.

10G Multimode
Connected this 10G Multimode 850nm transceiver to my YniFi switch SFP+ slot and works fine. 10G link to my other switch. Device is generic so should work with most as long as they donโt require brand specific firmware.

Did not work at 10G for me in my Ubiquiti gear
I got one "free" (minus tax implications) via Amazon Vine to review and bought the second with my own money so I could test them out. I am trying to connect a Ubiquiti Aggregation Switch to the Ubiquiti USG Pro 24, both using SFP+ ports. I currently have a DAC cable between the two and get 10G speed. When I swapped in these transceivers with a short fiber cable it auto-negotiated at 1Gbps. I tried manually setting both ports to 10G and the link dropped. I tried another known good fiber cable and still couldn't connect. I see other reviews say they got it working with their Ubiquiti gear, but I could not get any speed over 1Gbps with these transceivers. They were inexpensive and work for 1G so I'll just keep them, but I'll have to buy something else for future 10G runs.

Get in the fast lane
Ten gigabit circuits used to be expensive, but as data centers move to 40 and 100 Gb backbones, 10 Gb is more readily available and affordable. These transceivers work flawlessly in muy Cisco switches, as well as my Infineon network adapters, allowing me to boost my server network speeds to 10 Gb over a duplex fiber. Quality is good, and the price us amazingly low, especially considering the compatibility with so much hardware.
