What I love about these two bells was that it was the perfect size and on top of that, there was a red string that you can tie to any small ornament you wanted to attach it to. I only needed one but since I had to buy two in order to get one, I just did it. I didn't regret it although when you look at the inside, it just doesn't look so great but the exterior is polished and it wasn't some thin metal, it had weight! It makes that light bell sound but when you have it inside the home-when you make some movement to make it sound but as you can see in the photo, it is the absolute perfect size and design for my ornament. I think if you use Brasso, it will probably make it shiny. I did have doubts that it was going to be some thin metal and weightless bells but after getting it, I am happy. I wish I didn't have to buy two bells but I guess I can find some use for the second bell.

They look beautiful at the front door. If you want something to alert, you may need a couple pairs.

While they are decorative, these small bells make very little bell noise when they are shaken by the door opening.

I used them as bells for my goats. Goats are extremely strong and harsh to anything they contact. I have used these bells on their collars for the past few years. Goats rub their body against metal fences and break the zip ties in a day that connects the bells and the collars. But these bells stay beautiful without any deformity. I have no idea why these bells are so strong and goat-resistant. Also, the fallen bells had been left out in the snow and buried in goat poops in Alaskan winters, but when we find them in the spring and wash them with dish soap, they still look great. I buy them every year and will keep buying them as these poor bells get lost in the goat pen.

I got these for my grandkids clubhouse in the backyard. they have a little store window and they ring the bells to tell us when our "order" is up! I wish they were louder/bigger but also didnt want to spend a ton of money for it, so all good for the price!
