has the loop exit problem mentioned in reviews from 2016 hence been fixed?

I placed my order November 2018 and there is no issue. You can exit the loop by either landing on the exit, or the 3 and 5 spaces (assuming you get a plus when you roll the operations die.) In other words, they are placed correctly on my board.

is the dice with only 6 numbers really effective in kid's practice of addition or subtraction?

You could always use a 10- or 12-sided die if they are confident with numbers through 6.

Can any recent purchasers let me know if you’re getting the “loop” issue? Stuck in an endless loop you can’t get out of?

We play that you go around until you land on the exit. However if you land on the 5 in the loop you will get out of the loop either way you roll. If you roll the + sign then 5 spots forward puts you on the exit of the loop. If you roll a - then that also will put you on the exit of the loop to get out/ Hope that helps in a way!!!

Why does it say the minimum age recommendation is 60 at the top of this listing?
