Bright tone, clean sound. No finger scratchy sound when you move your fingers on the strings..
I love Elixir guitar strings. They last a long time and have a nice feel and sound bright and new. They look great too. They highlight your guitars with the way they reflect lighting off of them. But what I like best is the way they feel when your playing. They dont have that scratch like sound when you reposition your fingers, just nice tones. I haven't tried a whole lot of other strings, I suppose because I haven't changed strings too often, being that I haven't been playing all that long. I usrd to play when I was younger pretty good, but went without playing for decades so, I'm getting reacquainted with guitar again. These strings are very nice though. Guitar players that haven't tried Elixir strings should try them out. They are good in all aspects, and probably last longer than a lot of other strings out there. That was a quality that I read somewhere that was reviewing them.

Good Strings
I bought these for my Strat which I play fairly often. I am by no means a professional musician, but I do play daily. This means that I go through strings pretty fast. Mostly because they rust and begin to sound off. Usually I use Ernie Balls but the idea of NANOWEB coating attracted me to this slightly more premium option. Pros These are good strings. They sound very good and perform as well as I would expect. One effect of the coating is slightly more slippery strings which was a benefit to me as it allowed for easier movement up and down the frets. Also less friction means fewer sores after a particularly strenuous round of playing. Most importantly the coating does prevent rust although it isn't bulletproof. Cons As I mentioned the coating is good but not bulletproof. After a month I am seeing discoloration on the strings over the frets that I use most frequently. Nothing major, and it hasn't effected the sound at all as far as I can tell, but it is there. In the end, I would have to recommend the strings. They perform well, feel good and have lasted significantly longer than similar non coated strings.

Elixir strings really do last and hold their tone
I've played guitar for over 30 years. I've tried lots of brands of strings, including the specially coated EXP's from D'Addario. I've never found any of them that really hold their brightness and sparkle any longer than regular strings, EXCEPT THESE. I've used these on my Taylor acoustic guitar. They really hold their brightness after lots of playing. A set can last for a couple of months, playing every day, and still be pretty good, whereas a standard set of strings starts sounding dull in just a week or two. Using them on guitars for live gigging, they are a dream. They can take the sweaty punishment and still sound good and that will save you a lot of time and money. As far as playability just as regular strings, they are excellent. Smooth, uniform, stay in tune very very well.

Best strings I’ve played with in 18 years
I have tried just about every brand of strings out there over the years and these just may be the last. Naturally I started with the classic Ernie ball slinkys. I’ve hopped around trying ghs, Dunlop, D’Addario xl, nyxl and xs, cleartone. You name it. Then I finally got to thinking. I’ve played nothing but elixirs on my acoustics for years. I’m getting so much life out of them. So I finally got some for electric and wow. I’m blown away. I’ve never had a guitar play so buttery smooth while maintaining intonation. I play a lot of bends and I’m surprised I’m not pulling these things out of tune. They sound great too. So much clarity that it’s almost snappy, but without any harsh clanging type of tone. I don’t see another change any time in the near future.

Great strings for corrosive hands
Completely replaced the brand I used for 15 years. I have the dreaded acid sweat so other brands tend to get corroded and gross really quickly but these last months before I needed a change. Excellent time and stability even under big blues bends. Only issue knocking a star is I had one high e string that was poorly wound at the ball end and ripped right off. Only happened once so I just bought another set. They are that good.
