will this work on the bmw N54 motor?

The people answering you are not using the included adapters correctly. M12 is the N54 threading. It is included. It only works on one side of the hammer shaft. You have to switch the adapters on the end of the shaft they ship on to the other ends of the shaft to get to the M12.

Will this work on a first gen 5.9 cummins ?

I don’t think so. I have a 2007 5.9 and could not use it I ended pulling by hand and it took several hours. I wish the puller would have worked. But live and learn.
