Amazing Value for an Amazing Product
I bought a gallon of white with wax and mixed black dye to mimic battleship grey. I prepped the sides of my boat multiple times as well as cleaning. Then taped boat for ge coat. Mixed color in gallon first so it was uniform. Thinned with 5% styrene in each quart cup pre mixed. Then added mek and mixed each premixed each quart as I went as needed. You have about 10min working time so move quickly. You can see the picture after wet sand and buff. Stepped from wet 320, 400, 600, 800, 1200, 1500 using spray bottle a little soap/ water while using a 5inch da with interface pad. Then machine polished with lamb whool pad at about 800 rpm.Came out like glass!

For the price Best Buy out there I gel coat boats
For the priceless gelcoat is one of the best I’ve used is the cheapest one out there that I could fine I did have one problem with it Jelling over to fast but that’s because I think I mixed my resin Hardner in with it X instead of the actual Hardner that came with it I am very happy with the results it took about 1 gallon to do a 10 foot livingston boat approximately 10 to 15 mill thick

wont cure in 70 degrees
did 18ft boat, wont cure properly in 70 degrees temperature, 3 days passed and it still kind of soft. Installed heater to increase temperature and give it more time to dry/cure

Never cured
Not my first or second time doing gelcoat. I used this for a boat floor mixed it at 2% and it never cured at 70deg. I ended up scraping it all off with acetone. I should have learned my lesson but decided to re sand, clean and prep again. Bought new MEKP to mix with it, added 3% this time and put it on thick. It took a week to dry to the touch but when I tried to sand it just gummed up the paper right away. I then used acetone and a lot of time to scrap it all off again. The whole gallon ended up in the trash and wasted two weeks of my time. Very unhappy, worst purchase, I bought topside paint instead.
