Love this RC car
Love this RC car! I bought it for my 12-year-old grandson, and he really enjoys it, but I have been enjoying it too!! It is fast and drifts very well. We made a make-shift "jump" and the car's suspension responds amazingly well!! My grandson's friends come running outdoors when they see us out in the yard with the car. I believe they will all be requesting that their parents get them one too, and soon there will be more than one RC car in the neighborhood. My grandson would love that! The battery needs to be charged frequently, but we have an extra one, so he/we can play longer. Grandmothers: You can have fun with this car too!

I swear, I'm a grown-up
I'll admit, I'm impressed with this little buggy. I expected maybe high-end toy-grade quality, but I'd classify this as low-end hobby-grade at the very least.First, it uses servos instead of cheap-o motors, so it's got proportional steering / throttle. Both steering and throttle have trim adjustment on the remote that works well. I can actually see the car adjusting as the trim is adjusted. Adjusting steering trim for one speed does seem to throw it off at other speeds, but it's not enough to really affect the overall handling. I adjusted the trim for full throttle, and just dealt with the slight drift at lower speeds.Next, it's a 2.4 GHz radio. I'd never actually used this type of radio, and only used the 27/49 MHz toy-level R/Cs in the past. The range on this is impressive. I drove it nearly out of the parking lot at work, probably 100 feet away, and the controls didn't waver for a second.I wouldn't expect this to handle any sort of sustained abuse; the electronics aren't sealed against the elements and the body is an ultralight vacuum-formed piece of plastic held on by plastic clips. The chassis itself could probably handle most anything thrown at it (as long as it's dry), but time will tell how well the body holds up. On the whole, it's definitely better than most of the other sub-$100 R/C stuff.I bought this for myself because I haven't had a decent R/C car since my early teens. I've had enough of a blast with this already that I'm looking at making a budget for some hobby-grade parts to build something even faster!

ITS NOT BROKEN, JUST BAD INSTRUCTIONS TURN CAR AND REMOTE ON AT SAME TIME
ITS NOT BROKEN JUST BAD INSTRUCTIONS. I bought this for my son for Christmas. It did not work after charging, but was totally charged. if you got one and think its broken like i did, its not. You must turn the remote and car on at same time (within a sec. or 2.). After i very disappointing start to Christmas morning i did a little searching and found this fact out. The car and remote have a light that blinks while "syncing" together, you must turn both on so lights are blinking at the same time. To the maker.. PUT THIS IN THE INSTRUCTIONS!!!!!!! after we got it working, it is awesome for the price. it has a very long range and battery seems to last for 25-30min. We just finished driving it up and down the alley for the first run and i am impressed. The "body" is a really flimsy plastic but looks really easy to replace it it breaks. I would have given it 5 stars but cant because of the very poor instructions. i saw a bunch of one star reviews saying theirs was dead on arrival like i thought, I bet they didn't figure out the hidden trick to get it to work..Very fast and fun, not for indoors unless your rich with a giant house!

FUN, FAST, breaks Soooooooo easy!
Bought two for my twin 7 year old boys for Christmas. Worked great out of the box. No problem running both separately on the 2.4 freq. Fast, cool, FUN! They had little problem controlling them and the battery lasts about 20 minutes. I bought spare batteries off of eBay with no problem (10 bucks). Third time driving them at local park my son crashed his and the entire chassis snapped in two, broken front drive shaft etc. I saw the drive shaft couplers are cheap plastic. I took to a large hobby store with a million RC parts and they took one look at it and pronounced it cheap Chinese junk, with totally proprietary parts that you cannot replace. Contacted the vendor, and they do not have any access to parts and do not even sell spare batteries or plastic bodies. Price has gone from 80 bucks to 90. Probably not the best choice to get when I could have gotten the same 'class' buggy with same speed etcmat the local hobby shop for 179 buck, BUT, I could have fixed the same damage for 20 bucks (drive shaft for name brands are only 6 bucks). So, now, either I buy another totally new car and use this broken one for parts, or forget it, and one of my twins gets no fun at the park.In summary, it was fun and fast, but easily broken.

Missing parts
I ordered 2 of these cars for my children for their good grades in school. When I opened the first box I noticed that the zip ties that hold the car to the cardboard were already cut. The 7.4 v LI-PO battery was missing, the charger was missing and the 6 remote control batteries were missing. The box said that they were supposed to be included. Upon opening the second box the same items were also missing!! What gives? Both boxes were taped closed which looked like the original type of packing tape so I assumed that these cars were new - which is what I paid $160 for. This means that they were boxed at Hobby Race or Dime & Nickel without the batteries and charger. Nice going Hobby Race/Dime & Nickel. Don't you have any QC checking your product's list of items before you ship?I cannot express in writing the look on my children's faces or their tears when I told them the cars were incomplete and that I had to send them back and they couldn't play with them. I hope other parents don't have to go through this. The one star is just for the car's looks.

Good fun.
Took me back to my childhood when I used to have RC cars. Went to the local baseball field and ran it around in the dirt for a while. Good fun.

Hate to say it but Amazon bit it on this one. Terrible
Bought 2 of these, one worked for about 2 hours and now has a control issue. The other is sitting on the counter, can't get any response at all, red light flashes on vehicle but...

which was quite annoying but really more of a nuisance than anything
Broken out of the box. It came with a European charger, which was quite annoying but really more of a nuisance than anything. The real kicker was that it simply did not work.

My 10 year old was so excited to receive this for his birthday. It was a fun, fast car, but it was broken within 24 hours!
