This coffee is the real deal
Having spent much time in Guate, I have come to enjoy it's coffee. This is the closest I can find to the taste I know from around Antigua and Atitlan. The coffee has a slight chocolate flavor as cacao is grown on many of the estates and I am told by the locals that the plants mix their flavors. The reviewers who say that this is 'worse' than another brand that they happen to like are ignorant to the fact that coffee like beer, wine, tea and other items is subjective to the taste buds of the individual. For example, I really don't like the Colombian taste at all. I find it harsh and bitter no matter how I prepare it and have thrown or given away pounds of coffee I don't like. But I would never classify it as garbage or inferior...just not my taste. The coffee I enjoyed in Guate is bought in plain brown paper bags from the cafes I drink it at. NO labels on the package at all so it is hit or miss when looking for that flavor. I give this coffee an 8.5 out of 10 compared to the one I drink there. Also, Gevalia now has a Guate type offered in Publix here and I would give it a 7 out of 10 but the convenience of buying it down the street makes it very appealing. If you have been to the Antigual area and jones for that coffee, I believe this is the closest you can get to it on amazon. BUT, if anyone finds another that is 'better', please reply to this post so I can try it too!

It was not as good as I expected
It was not as good as I expected, but still a refreshing change from regular store coffee. Different taste and smell and a feel good sensation. It is still worth the buy if you're looking to avoid regular store coffee.

Wonderful smooth, full bodied coffee
Got it ground, which is what I wanted, (husband got beans) and loved the full bodied smoothness of the coffee.

What coffee should be....
This is amazing full bodied coffee, its rich earthy flavor takes me back to the red soil of Ethiopia when I lived there for half a year. There is a distinct flavor of this area of the world I think its iron rich blood red soil enrich its coffee ☕ with a flavor you taste with the full of your tongue. This is clearly the good stuff, to me if you want to know how coffee should taste and never tried Ethiopian your missing out.

Excellent Coffee
I purchased the Nicaragua variety and I have to say that I look out to my morning—and now also afternoon—cup of coffee. This coffee is expensive but well worth it.I purchased this coffee since Trader Joe’s stopped carrying my favorite Honduran brand and I’ve been looking for a replacement. I think I found it.I just purchased another variety from this brand since this one is so unbelievably good—is it possible another variety will be a ten as well?I’m happy to have found coffee I like since I’ve tried several in recent months: I even bought green coffee and started roasting myself, and ended up with a lot of smoke at one time. This coffee is better than what I could get by manual roasting of very aromatic green beans.I’m a happy camper and the only disadvantage I see is dramatically increasing my caffeine intake, which raises blood pressure. This coffee is so good that almost too good. I can’t keep my intake to one cup per day.

Yirgacheffe?
Got the pack of ground Yirgacheffe today. The coffee was freshly roasted (7 days ago), great roast and coarse (thanks Rob!), fast delivery. However, that’s probably all with the pros. Cons: definitely not the best Yirgacheffe I had over the years. Only remotely tastes like it, one dimensional, weird and unlike aftertaste.. The coffee itself was with parts of shell or something like that.. will not be buying again.Might be fine for not a coffee snob.

COFFEE BLISS!
Like every other coffee lover, I constantly try new coffees in the hopeful search for the perfect cup. I think I have finally hit the jackpot with this Tanzania Peaberry Coffee. It is rich with an almost sweet finish, and every drop in the cup is spectacular. The bag from Cubico comes well sealed with the recent roasted date written on the side. I ordered the ground because I have tired of the grinding process every morning. I was not disappointed. The coffee is fresh, aromatic, and perfect for my drip coffee maker. To maintain the outstanding flavor after making, I use a coffee maker with a thermal carafe which I have pre-heated with very hot water prior to brewing. Though this coffee is a little pricey, connoisseurs will appreciate the coveted well-rounded depth of flavor we all search for in this wonderful brew. I have found my coffee bliss!
