Excellent and informative book - but the photographs and maps should have been bigger and more colourfull .I purchased the book as I was in Brunei for seven years.

Heavy and to small print. Today I think a gudie book is complementary to websites and does not need hotel advice, Youwant to carry it around when you dont have internet connection and a small print book with 400 pages is out of date according to me.

very usefull

I've been using rough guides for almost 15 years now on my travels around the world and and generally find them both informative, accurate, and inspiring. I used this book during a recent trip to KL and Penang and, while I found it informative and accurate, I found the tone quite negative and almost 'bitter' sounding at times. I visited Penang based on advice from Malaysian and European colleagues in KL and loved it, but I'm not quite sure I would have bothered if I'd have taken everything the advice of this guide. I've found the places I visited in Malaysia so much more exciting and beautiful than this book would suggest.

Great book - just returned from the 3 weeks touring the West Coast of the Malaysian Peninsular, and it was all possible with the help of this detailed and up-to-date book (well, and a bit of internet of course!)

Extremely useful and information relative an invaluable source to help us plan our trip when we had left it til the last minute!

Its current and informative. I would say that its good to use as an initial guide. But there is alot of information on the internet which should be used in collaboration... I am taking it with me for maps
