Stunning and Incomparable
Utterly superb! Not often you come across a book with only 5 star reviews. I would give it more if I could. The illustrations are enchanting - its rich in content and is living, fun and beautiful. The section on the Yoruba deities has captivated my KS2 daughter. We've searched in vain for further books to expand on the subject but there are none. Every other section (Greek, Norse, Native American....there are 12 in total) brings layers of knowledge. She has read many books on these subjects before but this wonderful treasury is so well researched its added to her knowledge and interest. She's read it over to cover twice and I find myself absorbed in it too whenever I find. You could not find a better present for any child either to spark an interest in other cultures or to deepen one (or for yourself). Just buy it.......its glorious!!!!!!!!!!!! And surprisingly big (proper Atlas sized).

Astounding
This book is truly amazing. From the obvious depth of research that has gone into it to the incredibly intricate and beautiful illustrations that accompany each myth. From Celtic to Hindu via Greek, the wonders of ancient mythologies from every continent are brought to life in stunning form. For each mythology there is a simple yet compelling overview but then each is followed by a more detailed investigation. The writing is information packed yet easy to digest and what I love most about this book is that, unlike a raft of books aimed at children, it never talks down to them. It's as if Oliver Postgate had gone to art college and learnt to combine his wonderful knack for storytelling to children with an incredible eye of illustrative beauty. I cannot recommend this book highly enough. Children will love it, parents will adore it. The author/illustrator of this Atlas has come up with something as truly wondrous as the stories he's retelling within its pages.

Gorgeous book
Stunning book with lovely illustrations. My very detail obsessed 8yo adores it. She took it to school this week for “cultural studies” week to talk about Japanese myths for her focus week. Don’t doubt just get it, it’s lovely

Super writing and art!!!!
This book and the History Atlas book by the same guy are really amazing. A great way to teach kids this stuff with beautiful artwork. If you care about your kids education which parents are now way more responsible for our kids education with schools shut down you should have books like this in your house for them to pick up and read a few pages at a time and gain knowledge of the world easily.

Myth Atlas Review
This is a BRILLIANT book for kids up to the age of 100. My nephews and nieces love the stories, the fantasy of unknown worlds and weird and wonderful characters accompanied by beautiful illustrations. Kids love to be able to tell you tales that are "secrets", and their imaginations go wild when they read about monsters and mythology. Funny and fact-filled - it's as if Nickelodeon made The Iliad after eating a ton of Haribo on a fun day out.Serpents and Sun-Gods, and worlds of wonder are a treat for kids and adults alike. Perfect present for all ages - and super brownie points for anyone who buys this for them. It's brilliant and coffee table worthy. Everyone who picks it up becomes addicted immediately!

Fascinating and Stunning
Truly Stunning. My 9 year old son loves this book almost as much as do. As soon as he started reading it, he turned into a walking encyclopedia of mythological facts, so much so that I need to read it just to keep up. Now we're fighting over it. It's packed with information, trivia and mind-blowing facts, the illiustrations are stunning and informative in their own right. Its was a great lucky dip purchase and I'll be keeping an eye out for any other books from this Author,

Absolute delight. I love this book.
Beautiful illustration - complex and detailed and wonderfully characterful (managing to show disappointment on the face of a White-necked Thrush when he discovers that the Toad People can’t sing...) plus stacks of information. The book covers the well-known myths (Greek and Norse), the less well-known (Hindu and Egyptian) and many I knew nothing about (Yoruba, Yanomami and others). Each section also has several stories from the relevant myths.Overall I love it.
