Oculus Rift PC-Powered VR Gaming System (Refurbished) - PC

When buying anything refurbished on Amazon, I tend to be a bit skeptical. However, when I got this in the mail, it looked brand new! It worked like a charm and if I hadn't been told so, I would've thought this was never even opened! As for the product itself, this is the first generation of the Oculus Rifts, and boy does it show. There are a lot of cables, and you'll find yourself hitting the one the connects to your GPU frequently. That being said, I bought mine for about $260, so I definitely think its worth that much. As of the day I'm writing this [May 13 2020], the price is near $700, and I can't recommend it for that much, instead go with a HTC Vive or the newer models of Oculus Rifts.

This item arrived in poor condition, missing adapters, and all documentation. The graphic cable for the headset was jumbled together and packed so poorly that it left indents in the boxes foam packaging. I can not consider this in any way to be a properly refurbished item. The Rift controller tracking is decent, and the controllers work well with every game/app that I have tried. That's a huge plus! On the downside, the headset graphics resolution is low, often resulting in a somewhat blurry experience despite my PC and graphics card being grunty enough to run much higher resolutions on other VR headsets without a perceptible framerate loss. I have tinkered with the settings and managed to get a noticeable Rift improvement with most games, but it is still not to where it should be. The headset sound quality isn't great and the floor based controller trackers have swivel head cameras that don't stay in place and can be pulled out of position by the weight and tension of their cables. Considering the downside, I feel that the price point is too high for this now dated product.

so i get my package right, open it up and see everything is there, so i go set it up do everything i need to do and come to find the hdmi port dosnt work on the oculus, and i know its not the port on my pc because its the port i use for my main monitor, so now curentlly im trying to figure out what to do, cople things i might do make sure no one buys from this seller, and the product will be fixed by a professional and will not be sent back but u can use that money i gave u to replace it.

WAAAAAYYYY OVER PRICED! This is a refurbished set and it costs more than the newest model does brand new! Wtf? I originally ordered thinking that it was the rift S and that’s why it was so expensive, the rift S new was for sale 100$ cheaper, but was out of stock until feb (it’s December) so in order to get it for Christmas I was willing to pay more because of the stock shortage. Only to find out that when it gets here it’s actually the older model. (Which you can find for around 200$) Not worth the 600$ they are asking. Not even close. Returned this immediately. Luckily the rift s got more stock available and I was able to order one of those instead for 400$

The hdmi cable doesn’t not allow my rift to connect to my computer

Although the product is nice it has damage to it you can't see in the visior what you should see you get blocks of images not the whole picture and the cameras are hard to set up to get a clear view of you to play games correctly
