The Wilderness Guide to Dutch Oven Cooking Paperback – August 1, 2012

I've tried Dutch oven cooking before, but not with positive results. This explains all the details I wish I had known. Now that they've been explained I'm ready to try again.

I love what I could read. But it isn't much good without those missing pages. Maybe on regular kindle, but not so much in a kindle fire. And I loaded it into my fire for a reason. Color is very helpful when in the " kitchen".

I've never seen a cookbook with alcohol in such a large percentage of the main dishes. I would need to alter every one that sounded interesting. But the thing that makes it unusable is that it didn't day how many servings for each recipe or even if different sized Dutch oven make a certain number of servings as a rule of thumb.

I bought the ebook on June 13th and got 109 pages of corn and chicken chowder. I am deleting this book.

Finally. Bought several books promising to deliver great results but no! This one is truly excellent right fromThe beginning. Well laid out. Photos. Helpful info and great recipes adaptable to global supplies

although this book is for the wilderness cast-iron cooking, it’s actually fine for any cast-iron cooking in my opinion. Probably better as the meals are more traditional and simple which suits me down to the ground. Great coloured photos of the finished foods. Yum Yum

The perfect book for any Dutch oven novice like myself, got some great results from the first few recipes I have tried. Only issue for myself being that I have a single large Dutch oven pot and most of these recipes are for differing sizes of oven.

Nicely presented with photographs. An excellent companion to the gift of a Dutch Oven.
