Works with CentOS7.x Linux right out of the box, Plug-n-play.
This review is not whether I like or dislike this webcam, because many of the webcams have the same feature(s) and are design the same. For me the main points are: does it work with and is it compatible with CentOS 7 Linux.1- Connected USB video webcam to an available USB port.2- Launched native cheese application. Video is crisp and sharp.3- Signal LED indicator is on(Green).4- Closed out of cheese application.5- Updated Zoom client to version 5.3 via terminal6- Launched zoom client and under settings > video webcam capture is crisp and sharp. However, there is a small issue, small red pixelation (fireflies) on the screen.> shut down zoom app> shut down computer> reinserted webcam usb cable to a different usb port, same issue.7- Retested video cam using Google Meet with Firefox v68 video is sharp and crisp. Video cam did not work using Chrome v85/permissions.8- Retested again using zoom with a participant and does not see "small red pixelation" on their side. Finally, I think the problem may be with the zoom client app and not the webcam. Will test video cam using Mint 19 later in the week.Update: 5 Oct 20.Using Mint 19/32bit os version and updated Zoom to version 5.3.Attached webcam to laptop and launched zoom client. Screen capture is sharp and crisp, no pixelation like the issue I am having with CentOS 7.x and zoom client.Update: 14 Dec 20.Tested this webcam on both CentOS 7 and Mint 19 operating system. Works well and so far no issues. This webcam is a keeper.

Excellent Image—Limited Movement
The video quality is very good for the price. And it’s easy to use. So no complaints there. But be aware that if you attach the Pro Stream Webcam to your laptop, the camera has almost no capacity to swivel up or down. (Mine just barely can tilt up or down.) You can only adjust its aim from side to side. I find this utterly baffling. Why would a webcam maker design a camera that can barely tilt up or down? To adequately adjust the up or down tilt, you must move your laptop screen up or down, and this limits your own viewing angle during an online call. The mounting system is also extremely rickety if you’re using it with a laptop. There’s no clamp. Instead, you must carefully balance the camera atop the laptop screen. This works, more or less. But it has all the security of balancing a full coffee cup on your knee. The bottom of the webcam mount has a universal screw hole, so you can secure the webcam onto a tripod. Ignore the mini tripods often recommended for webcams. Mini tripods force you to sit the webcam to the side of your computer screen, and you’ll always appear as though you’re not looking at whoever you’re communicating with. Ideally, your webcam should be directly above the computer screen. That way, when you’re looking at the computer screen, you’re also looking into the webcam. (More or less.) My suggestion: Mount the webcam on a full sized adjustable tripod. Then position the tripod so that the webcam is looking over the top of your computer screen. The adjustable tripod then will allow you to point the webcam however you wish. This would be unnecessary if the Pro Stream Webcam could tilt up and down. Were it not for this ridiculous design oversight, I’d give this otherwise excellent webcam five stars. Companies that overlook obvious flaws, however, shouldn’t be given a pass.To be fair, other webcam makers use the same inadequate mounting system as the Pro Stream Webcam. So one can say I’ve singled out one company for something every other company is doing. Okay, point taken. I would reply as follows. Remember when, as a child, you said to your Mother: “But everyone else is doing it!” To which she inevitably retorted: “If everyone else jumped off a cliff, would you?”

Really good Auto Focus, comparable product to Logitech webcams
The media could not be loaded. I purchased this to compare to my Logitech C922X, i say it's just as good a webcam but i have mixed feelings. The Stream Webcam is good in low light focus-wise and is faster than the Logitech Cam. However the cam has limited movement options. Being unable to move the cam up or down is a personal issue for me but not a deal breaker. You're limited to swivel movements being left or right. Video quality is also limited to 30fps period no 60fps here, not a big deal to me but thats how it is so if you want a 60fps webcam look elsewhere. Unlike the C922X which has a build in light the stream webcam does not, so even though it's great in low light your video quality is naturally always darker. I don't have great lighting so this is an issue for me but if you have great lighting in your room or wherever i highly recommend this over the logitech if thats the case. Lighting isnt everything and this cam makes up for it with the amazing focus but everyone has different preferences. Quick note im primarily a Mac OS user and on Mac this webcam is wayyyyy better than the logitech c922x. I have Mac and PC they both work fine on PC but the stream webcam is alot better on Mac than the C922x so if you're a mac user this might do wonders for you. One more thing i have no idea what the audio quality sounds like from the cam so maybe look for another review or drop a comment and I'll test it for you. All in all i like this product it has room for improvements but at the price that it is it's pretty goodPros:-Great Auto focus-Great in low light-Clear video quality-Wide Angle video-Fast speed-PriceCons:-Not very bright-Swivel neck(limited movement only left or right)-Wide Angle view(double edged sword)-Price

Camera and audio works fine, colour rendition is very poor.
For the price this is an "okay" camera. The audio/microphone pickup quality is good but the camera itself is meh. I have an office with a north facing window and get very even but not exceedingly bright lighting. Unfortunately, the camera makes my face look red to the point of being badly sunburned. I've tried to correct this with changed lighting, much brighter room lights, etc. but the problem remains. I looked around for firmware updates and couldn't even find the manufacturers main web site. Overall, if you need something this isn't bad for the price. If you want accurate colour rendition and the potential of support from the manufacturer, look elsewhere.

Meh for the price
The image isnt as great as ppl say. I returned it and bought a Logitech and im very happy I did. This one performs really poorly in low light and is over-exposed in good-to-a-lot of light and has a noticeable blue hue. But hey, I'm very picky when it comes to technology, I suppose normal users wouldn't really notice. If it's on sale or something good be good enough, otherwise' I would recommend sticking to a proven brand...

excellent value for money
Webcam arrived well packaged, with all needed accessories. It is solidly built and the materials used look good. I ran some tests using skype with the camera attached to the desktop monitor. The result was very decent - quality is adequate, sound is good - perhaps this is all anyone needs for zoom meeting, video calls etc. I like the little tripod - it could be useful if the camera appears too close to your face when attached to the monitor. It is excellent value for money.

Works most of time with Ubuntu 20.04
Not always great upon machine start, but after some fiddling and sometimes reboot, it gets to work. However, for the microphone I decided to use the one from the headphones, for quality and reliability. My machine is a T3500 tower with Xeon.

Bad image quality but good field of view.
The only good thing about this camera is ultra wide view. The quality of image and automatic exposure adjustment is way off. Colors are wrong. When using OBS it is not possible to adjust some of the properties to try and make it look as it should. A cheap 720p logitech had better image quality results. Unless you are looking for a cheap wide angle camera for just famy chats, i would look for something else.
