Captain Blankenship Sailor Sea Salt Refresh Hair Spray, Texturizing and Volumizing, Oil Absorbing, Hydrating, 4 Ounce Spray Bottle, 1 Count

This is my second purchase after I went through my first full bottle (which I got from...Target?). First off, it smells marvelous and doesn't irritate my sensitive scalp. The salt spray helps texturize without making my hair coarse or crunchy -- assuming I don't douse my head with the spray -- but what I find to be most effective is the "dry shampoo" aspect of this product. My fine hair has an all-over oiliness around the roots that starts a day or two after I shampoo. If I mist my scalp area before going to bed, I can definitely see an improvement in the appearance of my roots the next morning. I do still use a dry shampoo (powder form) in conjunction with this product.Why I give this 4/5 stars: this product has "hair spray" in the title...that's misleading. At best, this product will tame my flyaways for an hour or two. I wouldn't count on this product to act like a hairspray.

1/3 of product was missing from the bottle upon arrival. Some of it had leaked inside the cap but I’m not sure where the rest went as the inside of the shipping envelope was dry. The smell is odd. There is a hint of lemongrass but also a smell of stinky ocean (stagnant seaweed and salt is probably the closest comparison). I tried it this morning after I used my beachwaver and it has held all day and the smell disappeared. I do like the product, but it was pricey to have so much leak. Better shipment protection is a must here.

I have recently cleaned out my hair products to find cleaner options, and after some research, I stumbled upon this spray.Although it’s labeled as a “refresher spray,” I was still using it to add texture and volume after using my curling wand. It doesn’t dry my hair out at all.However, I find I am most satisfied with it when I use it for its intention. I have fine hair that tends to fall flat, and I also only shampoo twice a week. This addition to my hair routine makes my curls look so good on day two, three, and I’ve even pushed it to day four! I’ve gotten compliments on my hair since using it. I’m definitely looking into more of their products - the sea salt spray is currently in my cart!

Great smelling product - this is a hair freshener not to be interpreted as hair spray- I did not realize any holding power to this product but rather a fragrant spray that gave my hair a tussled- sea spray look- different from many other hair product - I found it unique and a palatable price- many compliments on the fragrant properties of the product- not overwhelming but pleasing to both men/ women - with that I would say it’s unisex .

I love that this company is so eco conscious and that it comes in a glass bottle instead of plastic. The product is nice but honestly im not crazy about the smell so i probably wont buy again.

I stumbled across these products at a store when in Daytona and bought the spray skin toner and sea salt hair spray. The toner is very refreshing after a shower and smells great. The sea salt makes my hair have that beach feel.

This does what it says it does. I love the texture it adds to my curls, especially when used on day 2 or 3. It also is a great addition after diffusing curly hair.

Love this product! It gives my hair just enough body and smells really nice. The ingredients are natural so it doesn’t make my scalp irritated.
