The Boys' Guide to Drawing Aliens, Warriors, Robots, and Other Cool Stuff

I was not as excited about this as I thought I'd be. Maybe I'm not young enough to enjoy it. Different artists did different sections. I suppose it's lots of cool stuff.

I was hoping to get my eight year old nephew into drawing with this, but he was too intimidated by it. I don't know if he's just a quitter, or if most kids would react the way he did, but the first thing he said was "I can't draw that." I think it's more suitable for someone older perhaps.

I bought this for my 8-year-old boy's birthday. I was afraid it might be difficult and that he'd get frustrated, but the book starts out with easier designs and they get harder as you go. He figured out how to draw the first couple and impressed all his 2nd grade friends with his creations. I suspect some of the designs are a little too complicated for him, but he has taken inspiration from what is in the book and it's been a good jumping off point. An older boy would probably be capable of following the directions more closely.

Bought this for my 9yr old he loves it. The book is improving his abilities to draw difficult characters in detail.

I purchased this for my 9 year old son. He has shown an interest in drawing and asked for art supplies for Christmas. He has thoroughly enjoyed flipping through and looking at the different options. There are some beginner projects on up to the more skilled artist. Happy with the purchase!

-I liked how it went step by step and did the details at the end.-I would recommend this to a person that is at an academic level at drawing.-I chose this rating because it was a very helpful read.

My 8 year old loves this book! He would jsut draw some, but I noticed that he was actually pretty good. So I went ahead and ordered this for him. The steps are pretty detailed and basic enough for a small kid but detailed enough for an older kid who can really follow.And of course...full of boy stuff! Warriors, Aliens, Dragons, etc.I'd recommend this to parents of a boy 6-11

This was purchased for a 7 year old boy for Christmas and was well received. He really enjoys picking out a character in the book and drawing his version of it.The pictures are dark so it was easy to get him started by tracing the outline on a few characters and letting him add the details, features, and shading. But after a few traces, he can now just draw the outline once he realized that it doesn't have to "exactly" match the drawing.My son loved the book and gets enjoyment from it.

The item arrived damaged and looked second hand. I was also disappointed with the quality of the book. The paper felt quite cheap and the book itself felt flimsy, I expected better for the cost of the book.

I bought this for an 8 year old who loves drawing. He really enjoyed the variety of figures from monsters, robot type figures and manga style drawing. Has a good variety and very easy to follow. Great for any boy who likes drawing and wants to learn more.

Not given it to my 9 year old yet but I had a look in it and I think he will be pleased it seems like a good starter drawing book for kids
