## Questions & Answers

**Q: This ? has been ask but let be clear. The regular insert has a spring release latch in the finger hole.Does this have one as well? Not a spring clip.**
A: Mine did NOT have a spring clip. It has a small metal clip that I can flip to the left or right by putting my finger through the hole and pushing it. But it is not like the original where you push the sliver latch and the spring releases the plate.

**Q: I have the c10rjsm that has an oval plate.  this does not appear to have the same shape.  will this work on this model?**
A: No it will NOT. I bought AND HAD TO RETURN this rectangular plate (Amazon and the Seller were both good about the Return). Search for Florida Tools, here on Amazon. They have THE CORRECT, OVAL DADO PLATE you need.

**Q: Is this insert "complete"? I mean including the finger hole latching device.**
A: Mine did NOT have the spring latch. It has a tiny piece of metal that I can turn by putting my finger in the hole and sliding it to the right or left.  It is not as good as the original spring latch.

**Q: Will this insert accept an 8” dado set?**
A: This is just the insert for the surface of the table saw. As such, it will work with an 8 inch dado set.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Does not have spring latching mechanism like original insert (SEE PHOTOS)

Tried to find this part number (371663, Hitachi Dado Table Insert) at store I purchased saw and at Hitachi Website without luck. Also, general part number searches online - no luck. Only one I found was on Amazon had Hitachi name, fit job site saw number (C10RJ) and Hitachi part number that was listed in the saw operator instruction manual. However, there were no pictures on Amazon so I wanted to included some here for others. It DOES fit the table saw, but has a metal "friction clip" instead of the spring latching mechanism like the original table insert. Took some force getting it back out and I did bend the metal clip a bit and had to bend it back. Side by side, they look identical in manufacture and quality (weight, rigidity, etc), but could be just a good copy (see photos). It is made in China by Koki (HiKOKI?) Holdings Co and says it is "compatible with Hitachi Power Tools and Metabo HPT tools." I have not used it with my DeWalt dado blades, yet, but it looks like it will work okay. Gave it 4 stars because it did not include the original type latching mechanism, which I was expecting, and not sure how durable that little clip will be. It was shipped quickly and it was reasonably priced at $22.39. Not sure if Hitachi makes their own, or this is the one Hitachi would sell you if you could find it elsewhere.
