How long is the Striking Rod?** A: The striking rod itself is about: 2-7/8" (~73mm), the assembly (including the handle) is: 4" (~102mm) long. **Q: Hi. Iam interested in this fire starter. Does two pack mean two of the same product? or does it describe the striker and steel as seperate.** A: The steel and striker come together as a set and u get 2 sets. **Q: Do you have to hold it down into the object in order for it to spark?** A: Hold it close to the object, but I wouldn't recommend using the stricker that comes with it.
