A SIMPLE, BEAUTIFUL AND POWERFUL LITTLE BOOK
Perhaps some, or many of you have some agony or pain over the way our government, society, economy and even relationships judge, exclude, condemn, punish and treat carelessly human beings.Perhaps you also know now of the latest neuroscience that we have not one, but three brains, that is three seats of concentrated neurons and electromagnetism, not only the head, but the heart and gut.If you can accept this, or be curious about it, you will soon figure out this increases your internal support and access to problem solving and maybe even personal wisdom, providing you can learn the language with which, in this case, the heart, speaks, for it isn't in literal language. The book is about hand sized, 5 x 8, therefore comfortable to hold and contemplate. It is divided into 3 parts, each with about 5 chapters, but the way Baptist de Pape organized the content is delightful, comforting and beautiful. Interspersed throughout are full sized portrait photos of the contributors, each of whom seemed to me to have a kindly smile; and each page is filled with author headlined quotes, set off by colorful chakralike circle designs. Therefore, one could open the book anywhere, and pick something at random, and the books just swells to a whole on every page. One of my favorite quotes was by Maya Angelou (not verbatim): If you don't know what to do, do nothing; just sit, and be quiet; you may be able to listen to your heart and hear what it has to say.Another little exercise is how to accomplish this: I get in such a state sometimes, if I can't go out for a walk, it's hard to get calm. This exerciseshows you how to sit, breathe, and put your hand on your heart which releases the comfort and love hormone, oxytoxcin, while breathing. I tried it immediately. The advice was to do it several times a day so as to set up an automatic default state. So tired of left brain literal advice which is often hard to remember when you are angry, tired, stressed or anxious, my thought was "I can do this!" You get immediate feedback from your body which makes you WANT to do it again, rather than feel you have to. Too many of us have been told what to do instead of being asked what we think would help, or what matters, or what we would like to do to help resolve some situation, all of which shuts us away from developing a trust in our own inner guidance. This may help you get back in touch with that part of yourself, and develop a confidence in it.

” subtitled “Finding Your Purpose in Life” is beautiful in every way
“The Power Of The Heart,” subtitled “Finding Your Purpose in Life” is beautiful in every way. Beginning with the attention to detail on the cover, the dust jacket, the paper and the layout, this is a book you will keep forever. The book is a companion to the movie, featuring the vision of the author/creator Baptist De Pape and what he calls his “co-creators,” eighteen icons of the spiritual and scientific world. He interviewed them over a period of time, including Deepak Chopra, Paulo Coelho, Eckart Tolle, Jane Goodall and many more. The results are breathtaking. As a Licensed HeartMath® Trainer, I am fully aware of the heart as the center of our power and wisdom as represented here by Howard Martin and Rollin McCraty. As a lifetime reader, I am aware of the heart-path of Isabel Allende and Maya Angelou. Baptist De Pape weaves a tapestry of beauty as he brings together some of the world’s greatest spiritual thinkers, writers and scientists to pay homage to the all-knowing heart. Masterful writing, arresting photos and sprinkles of spiritual sayings add up to a book you will keep for yourself while buying other copies for those you love. I am grateful for being shown the way to this inspiring guide, and I know my clients will feel the same way.“The new science on the role of the physical heart satisfies our minds in a way that allows us to more fully believe in what we intuitively sense. It points toward an intelligence associated with the heart.” Howard Martin, vice chairman of the Institute of HeartMath®Therèse TappouniIndian Shores, FLwww.theresetappouni.com

"The Power of the Heart" by Baptist De Pape is well worth reading and absorbing. It illustrates the varied important roles of the heart rather than it just being a blood pumping machine. Literature of today has already identified functions of the heart previously attributed to the brain but this book goes further.De Pape uses personal and scientific validation from some of the great minds of today on the matter to support his hypotheses and also analyses these authorities' points of view.I found parts of the writing disjointed and at times repetitive. Repetition is, of course, a good way to get points across. It's not a criticism but an observation. This book should be read by many in all walks of life.

Well Done
A very good eye opener into how the heart cannot only lead you through life but how living from the heart will open a new world and help you find your true meaning in life. It was very easy to understand and the contemplations at the end of most chapters give you much guidance into heartful living. The guest contributors, such as Dr. Joe Dispenza, Maya Angelou, Eckhart Tolle, and many others add their own heart observations and heart awakening advice to each section of the book.
