Hardy Zephrus FWS Fly Rod

I bought this rod before a fishing trip and used it for euro nymphing as well as dry-dropper fishing. I found it to be very easy and accurate to cast when casting the dry-dropper. It truly does cast like butter, and I'm not by any means an expert fly fisherman, it's forgiving to say the least. My favorite use of it was when euro-nymphing (tight-line nymphing). It was quite easy to cast the heavier nymphs and its sensitivity is outstanding. I could pick up any movement of the fly, be it bottom bouncing or a take even from smaller shy fish. I was lucky enough to find this rod during prime day for ~ 50% off, so price-wise I did well. Even at its original price, I still think it's well worth it and if I had the expendable income, I'd buy it in a heartbeat.

First Rod that lets me get under the trees with side casts.Really really accurate and the stripping guides are very quiet I heard reviews I said they were noisy they were probably just using different line I am using Rio Grande 5 weight.I do a lot of sporting bow hunting rifle you name it and I think this is one of my favorite tools and it sure looks beautiful doesn't it

I bought the Zephrus 10’ 4wt and the 9’ 5wt and they are both perfect in every way! I read an article stating that the Hardy Zephrus was possibly they best rod made today at a reasonable price. I have to agree - they are top shelf and my favorite go-to rods!

I have the 9' 5 weight rod and it is a super all around rod. Light weight and powerful and yet with a soft enough tip for shorter casts. I wanted something that would fish long but still have some feel to it and this is perfect. I can fish dries, nymph with it and throw medium streamers. If you want a high end 9' 5 weight that is a great all around rod check out the Zephrus. This rod offers great value in a high performance rod.
