Color:Round: Pink Stolen in trains by our local young gangsters, also known as bosozokus, the tsurikawas were originally attached inside cars so passengers could slide their wrist inside the ring and safely hang their body outside the window. They quickly became the symbol of a reckless youth and bosozokus started to attach them outside heavily modified bikes and cars to show rebellion and disrespect to authority. In Japan, the word “tsurikawa” describes objects, usually suspended, that help standing passengers to keep their balance while the vehicle is in motion. In the early days of Japanese public transportation, those handles were made of leather, hence the name “tsurikawa” which literally means “hang” (tsuri吊) and “leather” (kawa革). Although “tsurikawa” is the name commonly used, some people also call them “tsuriwa” (wa means ring). Manufacturers and transport companies often refer to “tsurite” (te means hand), a more technical and contemporary term. The tsurikawas come in various types, shapes and colors. The most common ones feature a handle usually round. The very first Japanese tsurikawas didn’t have handles but only a strap instead. In other countries, it is also pretty common to see simple ropes with a ball-shaped bottom.

L O V E it , matches my steering wheels and added 15 horsepower! ( not really) looks great. I didn’t have to unscrew anything on it so I didn’t give opportunity for failure but it sits well on the visor post 10/10

Easy to Install
Love this product! I placed it on the inside of my 2018 Honda Civic. Install was pretty easy and simple. Two screws are located on the back. I placed it on the window visor portion of my car and loved the way it came out. Photo posted to reference the placement in my car!

Very cute!
Very cute/sturdy! Not too small or big. The plastic has a good weight to it too. The pink is so bright, and cute. It has a white fabric type strap which I thought wasnt exactly removable. When unscrewed to take apart, the strap was basically glued together. I had to rip it a bit in order to be able to wrap it properly to the back of my car. I reccomend using a zip tie to make it face forward if you dont have a tow hook that'll help it face that direction you want.Overall, in love with it. The listing mentioned JDM, but it has no JDM logo like the original JDM website mentions which makes me beleive this one isnt originally from japan.Cute + reccomend if you want to add something cute or interesting to your vehicle! Have already gotten compliments and questions on it!

My grandma loves it
I know this product is known for the wild youth but I’m honestly just using it for my grandmas sake. She recently had a fall and struggles to move her legs out of the car. My car (Hyundai veloster) doesn’t have the handles/grip above the doors like others cars and it’s always been difficult for my grandma to get out of the car on her own unless she has something grasp on. This item is super convenient for my car and would benefit our ride together. It came in great condition and the colors is just beautiful. Highly recommend it!

Cracked
I really like these, definitely fit the style for my car. Installation process is very easy, only problem is one of them came cracked and frayed. I made sure not to tighten the screws too much during installation because I didn’t want them to crack more, when you take off the red cover to screw them back together the fabric underneath was all frayed. Overall, need to get two new ones, and hopefully they aren’t cracked like these.

Love this tsurikawa and great customer service!
Love it! I was initially scared from the reviews, saying it cracks easy, but it’s not expensive so I decided to go for it and I’m happy I made the purchase. It’s not “cheap” looking nor does it feel cheap. It’s pretty sturdy. I got the white one and I had no issues installing it. I hung up next to my visor and it looks so cute! Customer service is also great and responsive in answering my question. I’ll add a photo next time I go back to my car.

Just like the picture, but the quality could use improvement
I love the way this looks in my car. The quality of the heart is great, but the strap could use some improvement. The strap is thin, and the holes for the screws aren't properly cutout. It was a bit difficult to install, and I wouldn't consider it functional (please don't use it to hold your weight). Aside from those few issues, this Tsurikawa is good for the price. Much more affordable than others on the market.
