Waffle Pantry Liege Waffle Mix, 32 oz

This recipe is so easy to use and sooo tasty! I have purchased this many times for Saturday waffles with friends or family and it never disappoints. It doesn't need any syrup or anything because of the pearl sugar, but it does pair well with whipped cream or fruit!

Very easy to make following instructions.Everything you need included.The most delicious waffles I have ever had. And my family agrees.Totally worth the extra time to make these fresh.I froze half of the completed waffles and they were just as tasty after thawed and put in the toaster.Even the littles ate them as is without syrup!Highly recommend and will purchase again.

I was extremely happy to find Waffle Pantry's products on Amazon. Originally, I intended to only buy their pearl sugar. After trying to locate yeast, I changed my plan and purchased this kit. Very happy I did.The directions on the mix package were short, sweet and to the point. No kneading time was listed so I fell back on previous experience and used my stand mixer, with dough hook, on 2 for 6 minutes. Then oiled the resulting sticky dough and let it rise in my electric pressure cooker (yogurt setting) on low, for an hour. Punched it down, added the sugar, folded in, divided and let it rest in the cooker (off) for another 15 minutes.Rather that cook my waffles one at a time, in the center of the oiled iron, I opted to cook two at a shot. 2 1/2 minutes was long enough to cook through but did make them a bit dark, especially where the sugar pearls melted. Cleaning in between cooks was crucial!Happy to have a supply baked up for breakfast all week long. Have been reheating for a couple of minutes in my air fryer. Soooo delicious!Now, to shop Amazon for a waffle iron with a thermostat I can control....

These are amazing and taste just like the real thing. I don’t bake at all so making the dough is a little more work than I thought, but not hard. I used a stove top waffle iron and burned the first few so just be flexible on cooking times and temps. About 1 min per side seemed to do the trick. Also, these hold up well if you leave the dough the fridge overnight.

Makes a very good Leige waffle but need to watch videos to see what exactly the dough should look like no time or speed indicated. The large pearl sugar chunks make these stand out.

These liege waffles taste just like what you get from a liege restaurant. They are so delicious. They also freeze well.

The Liege waffle is not for those who require instant gratification. The 2 hour process to make the waffle is well worth the effort. This is the original Belgian waffle not the cardboardish thing that Americans are accustomed to, deep flavor, texture and the surprise of the pearl sugar. The first batch I made, the flavor took me back to Holland where I had first had this type of waffle.

This mix is the best. If you follow the instructions the waffles come out just like the ones in Belgium. Extremely pleased with it. You will need the pearl sugar from the same brand and a liege waffle maker obviously.
